The quintessential up north bar and grill! The burgers were on the money, house made fries were awesome, and the pickles, we can see why it's the namesake! Atmosphere is great, the vibe even better! Would not hesitate to go back! Don't tell your friends, if they find out we'll never get a seat! ;)

We had a delicous burger and fries, followed by a wonderful slice of bourbon/honey cheesecake!! Highly recommend!! I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5, due to them being sold out of almost everything. We will be going back to try the chilli cheese fries and cheese curds, along with their Irish Cream Cheesecake!!! Enjoy your burger!!!

Excited to try the so called best burger. Ruined by the owners crappy attitude. Worse service ever. I don’t care how busy you are I shouldn’t be made to feel bad for wanting a second drink.

Had a couple great experiences there in 2024 but came for lunch on 6/13/25 and the owner was extremely unfriendly. Kept telling us how he was doing double duty and making it a “poor me”case… ended up still leaving a tip until we overheard him rudely tell 2 young adults that sat down at a table, that table wasn’t for them. Was not at all friendly and very rude. We pulled our tip and walked out and won’t be back. Too many great bar & grill’s like Thor at Willow’s End in the area that deserves the business.

Stopped here on June 4. We had excellent burgers and fries. Went back on Sunday June 8,and they weren't open, even though there website said they were open. We were going to go on June 11th with freinds, but we called the number on there website 8 times, to see if they were open, left messages, but never got any response. The drive is a ways, but worth it, if they are OPEN. Either they need to be open when they say they are or answer there phone.

We had a great time at pickles. The food was awesome. Had the smoked Reuben and the cowboy.
Stopped in to try their famous burger. It is hands down the best burger I've had in the northwoods. The burger was cooked perfectly, the bun was soft and fresh and the fries are fantastic.
