We walked in on a Friday in November around 5:00. It was busy but not packed. We stood there looking dumb because we didn't know where to check in. The waitstaff saw us and never talked to us. We finally went in the bar area and stood. Still no one asked if they could help us. We finally flagged down a waiter. He was very helpful once we talked to him. We went into the restaurant. It was very plain. It wasn't very appealing. We had the beer battered cod fish fry. It took very long. We thought they lost our order. The cod was delicious. I'd have to say it was some of the best I've tasted. We received 6 pieces. They were small but they filled us up. The sides, however were awful. We had the American potato salad. It was potato cubes with mayo, no spices, no flavor. The coleslaw slaw had a musty flavor. The rye bread was basic with a smear of butter. We would have asked for more butter but our waitress was busy. We each asked for another piece of rye bread. They charged us 98 cents extra. The tarter sauce was good. It was on the table in a squeeze bottle. At least I could have all I wanted of tarter sauce with no extra charge. The waitress was attentive and friendly. If I went back there I would try the fries with my fish instead of potato salad. We each had a mixed drink. They was strong, inexpensive and we enjoyed them.

My friend and I stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon at 1:15 pm. There were 6 people at the bar and only 2 seated tables . We ordered a burger and a grilled ham and cheese. It took One Hour And 10 Minutes to get our food. It seemed as tables started filling up the cook got flustered. I could see him working from my seat. He would prepare one order at a time in 2 frying pans on a hot plate and obviously could not handle the orders with the one older gal helping. I would never go back.

Appetizers are unoriginal and probably out of a bag to be fried. Most of the main dinner courses looked to be decent. Our waitress was uninterested and inconvenienced waiting on us it seemed. The patio is small but quaint and basically on the river. Beer was cold
