The steak & schnitzel was very good. The waitress (older, brown hair) did not tell us her name. It took over 15 minutes to first stop at the table. First response was, did you want something? It was like she was being bothered to be there. Overall short & rude the entire experience. Took are leftover food & never brought us our Togo's. Never offered dessert we had to flag her down to ask. It was not very busy. Bought 2 bills we couldn't read not sure which one was our bill & didn't see her again. Horrible service. This is unfortunate. We have been here many times & never have experienced this. Terrible server. She should look into finding a different job.

This is a great cozy supper club that has a great vibe. I really enjoyed visiting. However, we had multiple problems including steak that was beyond medium when we ordered medium rare, a drink that was just not made correctly and the server flat out argued with us that the drink was correct. I had the meatloaf and it's not something I would order again (but we all have different definitions of meatloaf, so I am somewhat understanding there... It was just brown gravy on beef).
Overall the atmosphere was great, service was mixed, and food was mixed. Not worth the price in my opinion, but I wouldn't suggest anyone actively avoid here.
So not every day can be the best day... that said going here for my 40th must have been their worst. I have always wanted to go here so we ended up getting the earliest reservation we could 8pm. We had to wait till 8:30 to be seated(it was super busy). My parents(in their 80s) were leaning towards leaving after we were told after we ordered that there was no prime rib, and no salad. Not a big deal. I got the cowboy rybye and it was completely unseasoned, just sautéed in butter or cooked on a flattop. My mother got cold salmon, and my dad... almost died. He is on blood thinners and if the sharp ziptie that was in the noodles that came with his rouladen would have gotten stuck in his throat... that would have been a birthday I would never forget.
So, if you plan on going, make sure you get an early reservation, and hope they are having a good day. Again things happen, but this was three strikes in one visit. I am not going to go back, wish it would have been different. Try it yourself, and maybe you will get the experience I had hoped for.
Zip tie was placed on top after my father spit it out for photograph.
We did not have to pay for any of the meals.

We arrived for my son's Birthday dinner reservation at 5:30. We were seated and ordered drinks. After 25 minutes we asked about our drinks as the waitress had not returned. My son and I ordered the 22 oz Cowboy Ribeye, my wife the Beef Rouladen. The steaks were so tough and gristley that we could not saw through them with the restaurants poor knives and the flavor was nonexistent. Then the Rouladen, my wife found bone chips in the gravy. The waitress was inattentive and offered poor service. We had dinner here many times prior and always enjoyed everything. Dinner cost 142.26 plus gratuity, we will not return !

My first time here. Great location, small historic building. Everything went downhill once we walked in the door. Miserable bartender, with a bad attitude! Waited close to 1 hour ,no problem, it was busy. Ordered Weiner Schnitzel, and Walleye. Delicious clam chowder, but the Schnitzel was tough and chewy, Walleye was fishy. Thanks but no thanks. This will be my last time to dine here.

We met friends from Milwaukee west suburbs (we were coming from east of Madison area). I had the duck which was good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere.

We don't get here often, but are delighted every time we are here. Ownership has turned over but the new owners learned from their mentor (the prior owner). Well done to all involved. The delightful experience (and food!) continue.
Come when they open or make a reservation!
