My husband and I went to Citrus Café last Saturday. The first thing we asked, do you have a gluten-free menu. The host said yes they do. Our first server had no knowledge whatsoever about gluten-free. She had Tori come over and Tori suggested that I get chicken noodle soup and they would drain the noodles. Tori said she had a relative that was very allergic to wheat also. Apparently she really doesn’t know much about gluten-free. Tori finally suggested French toast. It was lunchtime. We asked if I could get a children’s burger because their regular burgers are a half pound. Tori said no, She said if she could eat the burger, I could eat the burger. We’re almost the same size. Our order took over 45 minutes to be served. We watched three families come in after us get their food right away and leave before we even got our food. My husband‘s patty melt was raw. They microwaved the whole plate and now he had a rubbery patty melt. When we checked out they asked us how we liked everything. My husband explained being underwhelmed by the food and the service. They said sorry. Please come back again so we can make it right and took 10% off our bill.

Breakfasts are worth the trip downtown. Swedish pancakes top the list of must-haves. Service is prompt, quick, and very pleasant. Great place for breakfast or a light lunch. Plenty of off-street parking. Large portions at reasonable prices. Only open to 3pm, though.

Wife simply loves their OJ. Citrus Cafe is one of our favorite breakfast spots. We drive 40 miles early in the morning just to enjoy their food - if we can get a table. Their breakfast is so good that there is almost always a packed house.

The strawberry stuffed French toast was amazing. It's not what I ordered, which was regular stuffed French toast, but it was great! My wife loved her omelet. The breakfast burrito got a really good review, but the bloody Mary was sub-par.

We took a detour on our way back home to Illinois and stopped here for breakfast. Absolutely delicious food, healthy options and extremely friendly service. If you’re in the neighborhood and are looking for a great little breakfast/brunch/lunch place, give this place a try. I am sure you will love it. Thank you Citrus cafe for a wonderful breakfast. We wish you much continued success.

Very popular restaurant. Always busy . but worth the wait. Very friendly staff. They come back to make sure everything is OK. One of the better restaurant in the area. If you go hungry it's your own fault. Large portions.

Popular restaurant in Janesville. Breakfast and lunch menu, but breakfast is served anytime, so the breakfast menu is extensive. Cream cheese stuffed French toast with strawberries is very good, had it with whipped cream. Two others in our group had oatmeal and a burger. Oatmeal was good but could have been hotter. Burger was big and good but average tasting.
