Best Chicago style food, the Italian beef and hot dogs are so good! Prices are really not bad for the high quality food you get. But what had me coming back is this hard working, humble owner that is generous in nature and willing to go the extra mile to get and keep customers. Say what you will about it being in a strip-mall/ plaza, cause the dude inside is a star! A+

Stand up guy! I purchased a hot dog at the Janesville Farmers Market and accidentally left my credit card on the table. I came back hours later and he helped get me in touch with the head of the market where he turned the card into. The dogs are solid too!

JD deserves more than 5 stars!! We originally found this somewhat hidden gem at the Janesville Farmers Market and fell in love. The only thing better than his truly unforgettable hotdogs/sandwiches is his kindness and amazing attitude!
We then booked him for a party at our house and our expectations were far exceeded. Him and his wife, Dana, went above and beyond and truly made our event one that everyone will remember!

This was by far the best Chicago style hotdog I have ever had. We had an amazing experience and you can tell that so much care and hard work is put into it. Such an amazing vibe. A truly hardworking individual with compassion for the community.

It’s all good but I love his Italian beef he now has a store front in Blackhawk shopping center 1820 center ave next to cricket and is open Wednesday 2-8 and sat 2-8 and is at Janesville farmers market Saturday 8-1
JD’s dragged my top shelf beef hot dog through the garden and we could not be more happy.

This is a must go to for Chicago style dogs and sandwiches. I tried the Italian Beef, Very good, a must visit either in store which is suppose to have more hours soon or the food truck he operates. Quality times 100.

Update! I went to JD's again this week and had the opportunity to try the meatball sub! Very good. And very large! Great sauce and if you want to kick it up a bit, add onions and hot sport peppers. You'll be happy. Come support this business!

I tried JD's for the first time today and loved it. I had one Italian Beef with hot peppers and mozzarella, and one Chicago Dog. Both were great!
The Italian Beef was seasoned really well with the au jous and the bun was soft, but sturdy enough to stand up to the wet Beef. Fantastic sandwich and definitely the best IB you're going to find in Janesville!
The Chicago Dog was awesome. This is NOT your regular sized dog! This is an all Beef jumbo dog with all the traditional ingredients for a Chicago Dog. One thing that is different than a lot of other dogs is the bun. He doesn't use a poppy seed bun. I found this to be a benefit. He sprinkles the poppy seeds and celery salt directly on the dog and other ingredients. This is nice because they stay on the sandwich instead of flaking off like they do on a bun.
I went to his brick and mortar location on Center. The rest of the time, he takes his Stand on the road to different locations and events.
This food is great and JD is a great human being. He's really interested in bettering his community and serving quality food!
Well worth a trip to the South Side!
