This place is cozy, no hard lights, warm Edison bulb lighting and warm colored wall art. This place is not usually insanely busy and right next door to Lark Market in case you want to shop for some cool unique kitchen items or gifts. Because this is a small business don't expect your food in 5 minutes. There's an actual human in the kitchen making the food from raw. I got the sandwich of the month, a Turkey Drop. If you're looking for something sweet or traditional, this is not it. It's savory and a wee bit tart (hey arugula and cranberry!). The hummas adds an interesting savory and creamy feel. Their hummas is heavier on the tahini side and is very creamy.
Like a thanksgiving dip in super fluffy soft ciabatta bread.

Every time I’ve been here, I’ve left with the thought of “I need to eat here more often”. At a reasonable price the food is high quality and made with care. The vibes are definitely chill. I’m surprised each visit that it’s not packed out the door with people. They bring variety to the limited options in Janesville and I hope the sandwich bar continues to grow!

It felt very local. Loved the atmosphere with the murals on the walls, the window seat, the view of Court House Hill and pavilion. The food was delicious and creative. Very much home made feel. Hand cut French fries. Ramen noodles were made in n house. The beer from a local source was very tasty and refreshing. A much try. Highly recommend.

Great sammich joint. Very delicious and so much to choose. I got the southern chicken sandwich with AlabamaWhite sauce, love Alabamawhite sauce, but I wish the sandwichhad more of it, I should of asked for more. It had a great thick crust on it and the chicken was extremely juicy. My wife got the smoked turkey sandwich and wow was that good. The turkey had a delicious deep smoke taste. I'm not sure which was better. The garlic dip for the fries was rich and prefect! When I'm in the area I'd 100% go back.

If you're looking for a place to grab delicious, unique sandwiches...this is the place!! The Ohh lala is my favorite sandwich on the menu and the parm aoli for the fries is so good! We usually order our food to go and our order is always correct. Highly recommend!

A great place to eat while in downtown Janesville! The food is great, the art is great, and the service is great! Shrimpy boy is one of my favorites, but they have a decent size menu with plenty to choose from! I highly recommend! Support this place!

What a wonderful find. It is small so it could get crowded. But definitely worth it! Everything is home made. Don't forget to get an ice cream sandwich. We had a Plain Jane and they had BUTTERMILK ice cream. It was amazing!!!

Love the creative sandwich menu! The made- in- house fries and sauces were delicious (parm aoli !!!) The chips were crispy salty perfection. The side salad dressing(grapefruit vinaigrette) surprised me- I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. My family and I were passing through Janesville and needed a yummy quick lunch spot- Sandwich Bar absolutely delivered. Also loved that they have a bunch of board games you can take to your table to play, and the place felt very family friendly.

Incredible place! I can't think of anywhere I've had a better sandwich. I got the smoked tomato club and it was so, so good. Our server told us how they cold-smoke the tomatoes and it was so delicious. The fries were also amazing, fresh and crispy without being overly greasy. I can't really believe this place exists in Janesville, although that probably shows my own ignorance. We came from out of town, and I wish I had it in my neighborhood! We had excellent service ... Very friendly and prompt, and enthusiastic to tell us all about their food. Anthony Bourdain was playing on TV while we were there, and a mural of him and Julia Child were on the walls. It is clear these people love food, and it shows in every part of the experience!
