A Hidden Gem Worth Waddling Into! We were visiting Jefferson from Chicago for a wedding and wanted to find a good dive bar to unwind, grab a drink, and soak in some local flavor. We stumbled across this absolute gem—and of course, we had to duck in and waddle out! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with open arms. Three incredibly kind locals even stood up and scooted over so my wife and I could have a spot at the bar—talk about small-town hospitality. Doug was bartending (we heard he’s one of the owners) and he couldn’t have been more warm and genuine. A sweet older guy with a great energy, he made us feel right at home. The vibe was casual, friendly, and fun—the kind of place where strangers become friends over a cold drink. To top it all off, we got a free shot when the Packers scored a touchdown (Go Bears!🤣) They even had a spread of food out for anyone who bought a drink.
Thank you, Doug and the amazing folks of Jefferson, for an unforgettable Sunday afternoon. We might just have to make the trip back soon. Much love from Chicago! ❤️
