Love this place!! Unfortunately, for us, there was a line almost out the door for seating. We were able to get a creme puff and chocolate eclair to go. They are huge and delicious.

The Pine Cone encapsulates everything you could want in a traditional truck-stop diner. The service is prompt without being pushy, which is a fine line to tread. The food is good and the portions are reasonable. For those who are looking for less of a diner feel, traditional restaurant seating is available on the opposite side.
If I had one concern about this establishment it would be the lack of attention and care given to the restrooms.

Food was great, portions were large for a reasonable price and dessert on the way out was amazing! The server we had (an individual wearing a beanie, we were there on March 8th around 3pm) was incredibly nice and chatted with me and helped pick me up after a long day.

Ordered the all you can eat chicken; it was really dry and no taste. The baked beans were cold. The thing I love most is the chicken dumpling soup. When I got it , there was one tiny dumpling and the rest was celery and carrots, so disappointing ☹️. Our waitress never came to check on us until my husband finished his meal, which had to be reordered because he couldn’t eat the chicken he got. We drove 45 miles to get here, and not so sure we’ll be back.

Try their homemade soups, so good. You also get a homemade role with it.

Honestly very frustrated. The last three times I've gone to specifically pick up desert (not eat at the restaurant) I have been missing items. The first time I was missing a cookie and thought it was just an error. We're all human. The second time? Missing a rice krispie & cheesecake. Today, the third? Missing a cookie and rice krispie again. She asked me twice if I ordered an eclair, which I didn't. But don't worry - definitely got charged for one. I don't live close and it's 20 minutes to get here. I watched her take all of my items out of the case but apparently I need to systematically watch every step, including them being placed in the bag and handed to me too.

One of the few good old school truck stops left, don't go if you're on a diet!! Service is usually better but kind of lack luster today
