I go to Madison and few times a year and this is a must stop on my way. Whether it's just the gas station or the restaurant as well. The food here is unbeatable and the staff is better. You'll never regret it!

Went in last night to pick up an order that was placed 20 minutes before I arrived & the cook pulled my ticket as I was sitting there waiting. I know work can be stressful at times but doing your job should be top priority, especially if you’re being paid to do it. I ordered a baked potato & roll, for the time I waited I could’ve done it my myself. The 3 staff that worked last night were terrible.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice, and unfortunately, my second visit left much to be desired. On the positive side, my first experience was fantastic—great service, a warm atmosphere, and delicious food. I had a tuna melt and my girlfriend enjoyed a classic breakfast, both of which were solid.
However, the second time was a complete disappointment. We were seated in the smaller dining area, which had a much less inviting vibe. I ordered a club sandwich, and to my dismay, I found several hairs in my food. I sent the dish back, hoping for a quick resolution. The waitress didn’t offer an apology, and when the food was remade, I couldn’t bring myself to eat it. I left the plate untouched, but at no point did the waitress check back on us or offer any compensation for the experience.
To make matters worse, when it came time to check out, I was overcharged for a side of mayo that was also untouched($5.50!!). While the cashier was friendly and corrected the mistake after I pointed it out, it was an additional hassle that shouldn’t have happened.
Overall, while I might consider giving this place another try, my recent experience was enough to make me hesitant. Customer service and attention to detail are key, and I hope they improve before we decide to return
