Food and service were wonderful. Loud because of a Saturday evening at the peak of dining but very fast and hot food! Great service and hostess.
This was a happy accident 😂 I thought I had made a reservation at a different restaurant, but found out I was wrong when that restaurant didn't have our reservation. We made it to The Boathouse and were very happy with my error! The vibe was energetic and chill at the same time. Our server was amazing! 5 in our party-We had the pretzel bites and cheese curd apps. Both were very good, cheese curds were unlike anything we've had-all were perfect squares with a very light batter-unique and delicious! 3 people had the fish fry-generous portions! The other 2 had a burger and shrimp po'boy-very good with a lil kick. We are in Kenosha sporadically and this will be our go to spot!
Party of 6. We were stuck in a back room with no water view as requested. The room was full of families with children and babies so it was very loud and very difficult to hold a conversation at our table. I will not go back to the Boat House in the near future.
This is a pub that serves food. It's near the water. If that's what you're looking for, you should be fine. We had never been there before. Reserved based on Open Table info. Arrived on time and told host we had reservations and this was our first time there. He seemed unimpressed and told us to find a seat. Brought us waters. We waited 30 minutes before finally asking if there was wait staff assigned to our table. We were meeting a friend we hadn't seen in a while and probably let that go longer than we should have. One member of our party finally got up and asked. A waiter did come to the table shortly after. Food was ok. Again, if you are looking for a pub atmosphere and bar food, might be a good choice for you.
We had a great lunch. The menu has a lot of gluten free options and we enjoyed having many to choose from. The waitress was great. The food was delicious. Ambiance was nice. Definitely will return.
Loved sitting outside a view of the dock. The drinks and appetizers are great.

Walleye was watery and did not taste good. Assume it was frozen not fresh. Dessert tasted bad too. Very noisy environment.

For lunch, we had the Cobb salad and the lobster roll. I ordered the clam chowder soup as my side. The lobster roll was literally pieces of lobster on Texas toast. The lobster was butter and seasoned that was it very small portions of lobster and it was $26. I thought it strange that the new England clam chowder had bacon in it that threw the whole taste off. I will definitely go there again, but I'd like to find a drink that they actually make and I will likely try something different from the menu.
Fish tacos and fish and chips were good. Shrimp poboy was a little skimpier than last time. Service was good. Overall - we had a nice time.
