Got a burger without cheese it was pretty dry and they charged $1 for a small side of mayonnaise, even though the cost of their burgers include cheese. The mac and cheese is made with processed Velveeta cheese. The waiter who served us was rude.

This is a great place to grab a bite or a drink. Place is small so be prepared to be crowded. Has a few outside tables and an impressive menu. The Kobe burger may be the best hamburger I have ever had. Staff was very busy but patient and helpful for first-timers. Lots of beer/cocktail choices. I am ready to go back!

We had a last-minute disaster with a corporate group lunch for 25 people when our original reservation fell through — but Captain Mike’s saved the day! Within minutes, they found space for our entire group, and from the moment we walked in, everything was seamless. The food was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and everyone left raving about their meals. The service was equally impressive: friendly, fast, and completely on top of things, even with such a large party. Every single person in our group gave lunch two thumbs up. Captain Mike’s went above and beyond, and we can't thank them enough. Highly, highly recommend for both the food and the hospitality!

The food was amazing! You can pick your choice of size of hamburger from either 5 or 8 ounces. All different types of burgers and different cut of fries. All different types of beers and the onion rings and jalapeño poppers were amazing. The place is small, but they have outdoor seating and the staff is really fast and friendly.
One of the best burgers i have ever had. Perfectly cooked and very juicy. Hand cut fries were terrific. Great atmosphere right off the lake. Very nice waitress. Great experience overall!! Cheers to Capt. Mike! Will definitely be back

Stopped in for a burger and a beer for dinner. Our last 2 visits we ordered burgers “pink”, with cheese. Both times burgers came well done and dry. The cheese had melted into oblivion, to the point I asked if they had forgotten the cheese. Depending on the cheese you order, when you create your own burger, it can be $1.50 extra up to $2.75 for Velveeta. Seriously? So, we decided to give it one more try. Ordered 1 burger, pink, with cheddar cheese and grilled onions, another $1.00 to grill the onions, and one hamburger, pink, also with grilled onions. Asked the server to please make sure we could actually see the cheese this time. Cheese issue was fine, but both burgers came well done and dry again and the hamburger was lukewarm. Unfortunately that was strike three and we will go elsewhere. There are better burgers to be had, and without the overpriced up charges. I expect to pay extra for a piece of cheese but not $1.50 and up . We have pointed out the overdone burger issue in the past but it never seems to matter, not sure why they bother to ask “pink” or “no pink”

My sister and I were in town to explore after moving away 50 + years. We on Simmons island and decided to have lunch, drove around an saw Cpt. Mike’s Burger and Beer. Look good. The bartenders were friendly as were the few patrons great Wisconsin corner bar experience as remembered. Got our beers and menu. The menu is a sheet of paper with the offerings, sides and add ons. You order your meal by checking the box next to offerings building your custom burger with selection of toppings. Very unique and practical. We started with the best cheese curds , great hand breaded soft and stringy, fantastic! The burger were grilled to perfectly . Overall a great experience. I’m a former restaurant owner a chef and was very impressed.
