I highly recommend getting the mac and cheese with a side of their thin cut fries. You can use the fries to get all the cheese out the bottom of the bowl when you're done.
They also have events almost every night of the week if you're looking for something to do for a couple hours.

Yep, this is a great place. Character, good beer, real service, just right menu, indoor and outdoor seating options, and a Brussel Sprout in my Bloody Mary. Seems to be doggy friendly, but I didn't try that part. Will take a detour to come back when in WI.

Great local spot in Kenosha. Love the pirate theme, especially being so close to Lake Michigan. Service is great too, never had to wait more than a couple minutes for another beer or a water refill. The menu is great for how customizable it is but I’d recommend trying one of the burgers on the menu (bonus points for the Trailer Park Boys references). Great beer selection too!

I work nearby and have lunch here pretty often. The food is always good. The staff are not friendly. The regular daytime female staff members are never friendly. Literally never. Could probably get friendlier service having lunch in a prison.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Captain Mikes—the lively atmosphere, the fantastic service, and the quality of the food are second to none. It was my go-to spot for a great meal and a good time.
However, I recently noticed that the vegan burger has been replaced with a veggie burger. I truly miss the delicious vegan burger that used to be on the menu. It was the highlight of my visits and something I looked forward to every time. Captain Mikes was one of the only places my husband and I can both enjoy a burger. He eats meat while I am plant-based.
I understand that menu changes are sometimes necessary, but I’d love to see a vegan burger make a return. It was not only a favorite of mine but also a great option for those who prefer plant-based meals.
Overall, Captain Mikes remains one of my favorite places, and I’ll definitely keep coming back for a drink. I just hope the vegan burger will make a comeback soon, so I can enjoy the full experience that I’ve come to love.
