I was surprised the menu is as large considering that they close at 3. There is a lot of variety of choices to choose from.
We visited at the end of lunch time and the food and service were great. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The soup of day chicken dumpling gave a good extra touch to having a chicken wrap.

Always good breakfast, was a little disappointed the last 2 times I ordered there was a mistake & when I called to get the correct item I was told I could get it on my next order but didn't - & then wasn't answered because it was 16 mins to close when I tried to call- not to come back then but just so they knew they didn't give me all my food I paid for.

I’ve been a customer of Gateway for a long time, but unfortunately my most recent experience was deeply disappointing. The meal quality was noticeably worse than before, and when I called about issues with my order, the response felt dismissive rather than service-oriented. Mistakes happen, but the lack of care in both food execution and customer service is what ultimately led me to decide not to return. It’s disappointing to see a place decline this way. And food is too costly these days to take a chance on bad food AND bad customer service.

I’ve been here before and I enjoy their breakfast. It’s good for the price. However, today I decided to get the grilled cheese with bacon. Easy enough, right? WRONG. I honestly don’t know how you mess up a grilled cheese, but it is very obvious they only use one (1) craft single. It isn’t very melted at all. The bacon was just pressed into the cheese and I was able to pull it out with no problem..? The waitress was nice, but I didn’t get my water refilled at all. Which was rough considering I tried to choke down this grilled cheese. My fiancée said she’s had the same cheese experience with their omelets. So anyways, I’d pay it safe if you go here and get something simple, but not TOO simple. I hear the Ruben is good…

In the dictionary under “small town café“ it says “see the gateway cafe in Kenosha“ this place is exactly what you would expect. It was perfect. The food was OK. The waitress was excellent. The atmosphere was busy. I could not have asked for better.

I had the gyros and eggs. I highly recommend it. They come with hash browns or fries and pancakes or toast. I had hash browns and pancakes on the side. It was excellent, besides the pancakes, which were a little bit dry. The service was a little bit slow, but I think that they were just very busy at that time, considering that almost every table was filled, as well as the parking lot.

Love love the atmosphere here feels like home !! I have tried many plates they serve and I can honestly say they are all delicious 😋 as far as service top notch and super friendly!!
