House of Gerhard surpasses every restaurant in America ! They made our wedding anniversary so special !❤️The dinner was five stars and equivalent to the schnitzel in Austria 🇦🇹 The starters and french onion soup is another level . The food , ambience and service is simply par excellence! The restaurant was decorated so beautifully ! They even brought us a special strawberry 🍓 desert for our anniversary. We love house of Gerhard . Their schnitzel was incredible! Thank you so much house of Gerhard!

Our first visit will NOT be our last. It's a relatively small place, but they have a huge variety on the menu. So much looked so good, it was hard to decide. Beth was patient with our questions and fantastic with service. Drinks, soup and meal were excellent. Large portions so we had great leftovers the next day. Highly recommended and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

The drinks were great, generous pours of wine, the pate was amazing, that's where the good stops. The food came out lukewarm, the schnitzel was soggy and flavorless (I should have known better than order it since it's made with Turkey), duck was overcooked and dry. My daughter ordered fish fry and said she preferred Culver's fish fry to this. There were 5 of us and 1/5 liked their dinner.

Good atmosphere, good food, and good cocktails. I particularly liked the Chicken Oscar, the Peartini, and the Pink Squirrel.

Food and service was great. Very clean. Seating was a bit tight. Understandable why. Recommend arriving at 4PM if you do not want to deal with the noise of a packed restaurant. Highly recommend.

I thought I wasn't one for liking German cuisine, but Gerhard's totally changed that, I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place to start off a date night.

Fun atmosphere, excellent service. A couple in our group ordered the prime rib and came out tough, disappointing. Streak, duck and chicken was great, beef stroganoff was excellent. The walleye special was very good. Old fashions were outstanding

Overall great dinner experience with friends. Between the four we got the sausage sampler for appitizer. For mains we got the german platter ( sampler of the beef roulade, smoked pork chop, and one of the sausages), beef stroggenoff, roasted duck, and saurbraten with everyone trying a bit of everything.
All the food was delicious with generous portion to price ratio. The Saurbraten was the table favorite followed by a close tie between the stroggenoff and duck and the german platter bringing up the rear only due to something having to come up last.
This was our first time here so don't know of this is the norm but when the dining room was full it was quite loud and over all this was a very long meal lasting about 2 to 2.5 hrs with decent lapses between orders taken and food arriving. This wasn't a hardship for us but might not be everyone's cup of tea
However service was typically promp and attentive onence orders were taken and again food was delicious and portions generous. To give you an example 1 appitizer, 4 alcoholic beverages 2 non alcoholic and 4 entrees and the bill came to just over 50 per person before tip. Ive spent more for less. We will certainly come back.
Spätzle was delicious. Authentic german salad was a delight. Come hungry! A must stop for me any time I'm in town.
We have been there many times & always excellent.
Don’t know if they have a new cook now or what but we’re quite disappointed this time.
The Hungarian goulash wasn’t Hungarian & didn’t taste like the other times.
The schnitzel offered was only turkey & was dry. The breading was not good. Hard in places so couldn’t eat it.
German hard rolls were excellent as were the carrots & potato pancakes.
