What a nice surprise. First of all, come here on a Monday through Wednesday evening. You might note that the low star reviews are for busy weekend evenings. The bartender was very well dressed, I'm rarely not the most formally dressed man in the room so I felt a little outclassed. His manners were impeccable, quite a contrast to the Wisconsin casual Northwoods atmosphere. One would more expect hunter orange and camo. Bar food, good bar food. I had a Philly steak and cheese which was not authentic but was very tasty. Impressive selection of beers on tap, I had a local brew that was an excellent Belgian blonde. I wish I could remember which one it was, when I asked what they have on tap I got a thick multipage document that was as long as my first Master's thesis.

Food was good and very helpful service. Huge selection of beer and it was delicious! We ordered the Mikes chicken wrap and a regular hamburger. While the chicken was ok the overall flavor was good.

I've been coming here for years. First bar I hit when I cross the border when heading north. It's a hot day out and cold beer sounded great. Pulled in shortly after noon. Figured we would get an appetizer and few beers only to find out that food was an hour behind. Not good news for a Saturday lunch rush. I feel like issues like this have been becoming more and more prevalent here. Hopefully things get sorted out.

Friendly and accommodating best describes Uncle Mikes. The bar is large and easily fits groups that want to talk while dining. The hot beef sandwich is fabulous. I wanted to get takeout and they were willing to deconstruct a great sandwich. Getting the beef, bread,an jus, jardiniere, packed separately made taking it home easy. The FF portion is large as is the sandwich. I highly recommend Uncle Mikes

Food and drinks were great. Would give 5 stars but the bartender kicked me out because I called her a b*tch and a c*nt. Like come on!! How rude!! left her a quarter tip because that's what she deserved!!!!

I dined at Uncle Mike's last Saturday night. I have noticed that most businesses are short staffed. I was surprised that this restaurant you had to go up to the bar to place your order. My friend and I decided to sit at the bar thinking that would help with the service. We started off ordering a round of drinks, Then we placed our order. I had a BBQ Bacon onion burger with fries. It was delicious I would have placed another drink order, but it was difficult getting the bartender's attention. The restaurant was very busy. I was surprised that we only had one drink. We left right after we finished our burger's. I really wish there was someone else that could have helped the bartender out. He was very nice and courteous. He had his regular customer's that he was taking care of and already had their drinks in hand when they sat down. I would love to be a regular however it is difficult to want to return when I wasn't taken care of the first time I visited your restaurant.The burgers were excellent so I would give the burgers 5 stars however I am giving this review 3 stars based on the service.

I have given this establishment so many tries over the past 5 years. went in a few months ago during the day and the soft pretzel came out extremely hard. today we came in to order drinks around 3:00 and the bar is a mess and there was less than 10 people at the bar. it's silent in here and everyone is whispering. super weird atmosphere. waited a bit for our drinks which is fine but bartender gave us our beer cans to open ourselves and someone in our group ordered a spotted cow and she literally handed him the bottle... with no bottle opener. what is this, self serve? very taken back by that. i'm also a bartender and worked for the mike establishments for years. finally crossing this place off the list for good.

The food was just ok to meh. I had a hamburger which was big but slightly over cooked. It was nothing special for the price. My husband had the Philly steak which was soggy and immediately fell apart, he had to eat it with a fork. The fries were not fresh cut and had a spicy coating. I prefer just good salted fries. For the price I would much prefer A Culvers burger. The place was clean and the server friendly. The beer menu was fun. So if you want a beer it's ok for food not so much. The food looked nothing like the pictures posted on Yelp.
