This place is such an absolute gem! My husband and I go on dates here pretty regularly. The food is fresh and flavorful, and the staff is friendly and attentive. There are many vegetarian options, and even some vegan ones. The food menu is concise and well-rounded; there’s something for everyone. The Mushroom Pappardelle pasta (pictured) is my husband’s favorite pasta dish not only from this restaurant, but probably*ever*. We’ve really enjoyed every single pizza we’ve tried, but his fav is the Ravioli Pomodoro, and I think mine is honestly the humble Margherita. When the ingredients are such great quality, you don’t always need a lot of bells and whistles on a pizza! You can tell that everything you’re being served is high-quality and fresh here. Their salads are generously-sized, and their red wine vinaigrette is crave-worthy. The San Marzano tomato sauce that comes with their Angioletti appetizer (pictured) is probably the best tomato sauce I’ve ever had. Honestly, I wish they’d offer a tomato soup based on it. It’s simple, but incredibly well-balanced and flavorful. The angioletti are fluffy, pillowy, and a perfect vehicle for that incredible sauce.(Very minor) Critiques: It’s a nice, clean, modern space, but there are so many big televisions suspended throughout the dining area. When I’m indulging in such a nice meal, I’d love to have more of a cozy vibe. I dislike the distraction of bright, flashing televisions hanging above our heads broadcasting sports. It just feels like a bit of an identity issue—sports bar, or upscale pizzeria? But the booths are comfortable enough, and there’s a lot of natural light. It’s a very nice space. The Four-Cheese Ravioli (pictured) is amazing; its Parmesan Cream sauce is truly next level delicious. My only note is that it seemed odd as an appetizer. We assumed the ravioli would be toasted and dippable. I’d rather see it served in a bowl as a main course rather than as an appetizer.Overall, we love this place. It attracts a diverse range of customers; I see people having business meetings here, couples on dates, and families with kids eating their cute Mickey Mouse-shaped pizzas off the children’s menu. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with automatic doors and plenty of disabled parking. They play music at a reasonable volume, making for easy conversation. Give it a try! Enjoy!Wheelchair accessibility: Oak Fire is wheelchair accessible with button-activated automatic doors. Plenty of disabled parking right in front, I’ve never had an issue finding a disabled spot here. For those with sensory sensitivities: the music volume is low and the variety is reasonable. It’s usually modern indie music. It’s a spacious, comfortable environment with both booth and table options.

We got the lunch special and ordered takeout at work. The pizza and salad were well worth the $12. You can pick any pizza on the menu and get it for your lunch special. I spent the extra $1 to get a Cesar salad and it was a good amount.

Great fluffy pizza crust that was so crispy, the server was super nice! A little bit of construction going on hurt the atmosphere a little but that's temporary.

My friend Dan ate there and I think he liked it. It’s a great spot for some pizza, pasta, and other Italian style food! I would for sure recommend!

Was excited to try this restaurant with my boyfriend, but we waited for 30 minutes and nobody ever attended to us. Other people came after us and had already gotten their food so we left. It’s a bummer because the food looked good. Came all the way from Crystal Lake, IL, it was an hour drive.

If they cut out the center of the pie and only sold the 3 inch donut left over, the world would be a better place.Wanted to love you, woodfire, but went limp after lifting the first slice into the air. Watching the inner 2/3rds of the slice's ingredients slide off the inner wedge "noodle" to the plate was depressing. The pizza is so limpy it should come with lil crutches made of crust to help the inner 2/3rds make it to the mouth with more than just the wet noodle and sauce slather.

Wanted to try something new for my birthday. Unlikely to go back. They weren't crowded but the service was super slow. We waited 5 minutes to be seated, only to wait another five minutes for someone to ask what we wanted to drink. We were finally asked what we wanted to order, so we ordered appetizers and entree at the same time. Appetizers took about 15 minutes to get to table, waited another 20 minutes for entree. My husband liked his pizza, mine was soggy. My husband ten ordered the death by chocolate cake to go since we had already been there so long, however it took so long for that, my husband quipped "did she have to make the cake". Overall we spent $69 for so so food and slow service.

The last three visits were carryout through the website and none of them were on time. Thursday night was the worst yet. I arrived at the confirmed time through GrubHub, 5:30p, to have the host inform me that my order wasn't set to be prepared until 6:30p. The manager came up and said she would put a rush on it, but it would be a while. I received my order 20 minutes later without any comment. I was very disappointed in the service and response to my order being delayed again.

What happened to the food we used to enjoy? We have been here many times since Oakfire opened. This last visit was a disaster. We waited for a very, very long time after ordering to be served soggy, cold pizza with raw dough. My child showed me the inside of his crust and you could pinch the dough and it was indeed raw. Both pizzas were wet and completely undercooked. It was super gross. The salad had almost no dressing on it. I don't like to use a lot of salad dressing and I had to ask my husband if there was even dressing on the salad at all. Could barely see it and could not taste it. My child said it best when he said "if I would have known this meal would be so mid I would have never asked to come here." Our server was young and trying to do the best she could do with limited resources. We did not complain to her as I did not want to ruin her vibe. I was also too hungry and tired from a long day at work to want to spend another second in this restaurant. I did not want more food. I did not want to speak to the manager. We were sitting by the garage doors and wind was blowing through. I had to wear my coat for the entire meal. I was freezing to death with this limp, cold pizza sitting in front of me. I just wanted to go home and eat cooked food in my warm house. And for heavens sake DON'T reply to this message saying "that's how our pizza is" NO. Your pizza used to be different. It used to be cooked and edible. Now it is horrible. If anything the manager should thank us for paying for our food, tipping our waitress, and leaving quietly.

Really like the place and have been there a few times..food was always good and the service was always great..but last night they were off with slow service..the waiter lacked on attention to us and had to look for him when we wanted stuff..wanted parmesan cheese..red pepper flakes..extra napkins and whatnots..ordered two pizzas and a salad..the salad came after the pizzas and then the pizza..the salad was good but the pizzas were under cooked..was doughy and undercooked....usually the service and food were spot on but everything was off yesterday...please be consistent...anyway..we will be back and can understand days might be off but ...

The pizza was very chewy and not fresh, service was so slow and the price was way too high for the quality of food.
