Great bread and pastries. None of the bread and buns have price tags on them or the shelves for the past 2 years. I'll never understand that and quit buying them in protest. Great people, but not enough of them. Future good luck to them and hope they fix the issues.

From what i experienced at this bakery is that I've witnessed unfortunate treatment to some of the younger employees. I remember hearing one of the managers yelling at an employee in the back where majority of the customers could hear. And to keep in mind most of those younger employees range from 16-18 and most likely is their first job. I would expect better from a family own bakery.

My grandpa was a regular customer from the 1940s until he passed in 2003 and our whole family gets excited when one of us let's everyone know we are in Kenosha and stopping at Paielli's.

Normally we get our birthday cakes here and that part is normally fine and great.

However, when you’re getting baked goods and you were first to ask and get them, they instead gave it to folks behind us in line. Disappointed because the worker was aware of what we asked and even pulled the tray out to do so. Then proceeded to get our next set of bake goods before turning around and losing track of first two bake goods that we asked for. For the other coworker to have passed said order to people behind us in line. Which means we didn’t even get what we asked first it was passed off to people behind us. The employee was just confused even more. So no clue if their first day on job or whatever but that blows. It should had been us getting those but we didn’t. I’ll just stick to ordering birthday cakes then and not recommend anything else for now. Yes, they weren’t even busy when this went down it was legit us and maybe two other small parties. With three employee about.

This may be new favorite donut but the only problem is I'm 7 hours away. We found it driving around on vacation. We stayed in winthrop harbor and drove up 3 times during the week for these delicious donuts. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was good. If your in the area I suggest you try them.

This bakery has been around since 1923, and it’s easy to see why it’s stood the test of time. I ordered two donuts: the original glazed and their signature Cyclops—a chocolate-glazed donut with a dollop of white buttercream nestled in the center where the hole would be. Both were just $1.25 each and absolutely hit the spot.

The bakery also offers kringles, eclairs, donut twists, loaves of bread, cakes, and a small selection of drinks. It shares a parking lot with a strip center, so there’s plenty of parking available.

The staff were friendly and helpful, patiently answering all my questions about their donut offerings since it was my first time visiting. Overall, a charming, old-school bakery that’s worth a stop for anyone with a sweet tooth.

I, like most of Kenosha, am one more generation who grew up eating Paiellis Italian bread. It was always back and forth between a loaf of this and a loaf of Cardinali's. My grandparents almost always (maybe always) bought Cardinali's. If you haven't tried a FRESH loaf of both breads (Paiellis and Cardinali's), you are missing out. Kenosha has the best Italian bread anywhere in the US as far as I'm concerned!

The workers there were very friendly. They were willing to answer questions. I asked about bread bowls, and without my asking, one woman went to the freezer in the back. She came out with a bag of 2 bread bowls. The place was spotless and well organized. My only complaint was not everything had a price on it.
