I have never been served sushi on a plastic picnic plate. Everything you do here, tou do yourself. Need water get it yourself, chopsticks you guessed it...go find them. I ordered 2 rolls. The smoked salmon was decent but had an unexpected amount of smoke flavor. I just couldn't get over the service part. Starter soup was served in a to go container.

A great place to have poke! They have so many options and a lot more variety than other poke places, and their prices are very reasonable and much cheaper than other poke places. Portions are big and the fish is fresh, all of the options they have taste great! The owners are very pleasant and sweet, and they give you big spoonfuls for your bowl. The smoothies are nice too.

I like the non-chain-coporate vibes of the poke place, right off the freeway in Kenosha. It does feel more like a Chinese fast food restaurant inside, possibly because the owners are Chinese.
Poke bowls are customizable, like a subway sandwich, with everything in plain sight. Just point and pick.
You can even skip rice and get mix greens (great for keto). I went with the spicy salmon and poke salmon and the flavor was great. All the toppings were fresh and well balanced.
The only thing is... the plate that the poke comes in is the lid to the teriyaki bowl. So size is smallish and the bowl (lid) is flimsy. not sure what happens when you order to go. Also if you get rice instead of greens, I don't think the hot rice will be good on this lid. So... while I appreciate the ingenious way of not wasting unused lids... it felt sort of cheap.
The teriyaki chicken is also great. Flavors were quite good and everything was made fresh.
we didn't ask for it, but the owner came out with cups of water for us as we were eating. He seems to be very observant. Nice touch!
