Last night I decided to take my girlfriend and a couple friends to The Factory to have a few drinks. Soon as we walked in we weren't formally greeted. We were told immediately to leave the establishment, because of the hat my girlfriend was wearing. It was a regular grey hat with the LA symbol on it. She wasn't wearing it in a disrespectful way, the hat was facing the right way. The bartender which was a caucasian man told us to leave and he wasn't going to serve us because of her hat. We didn't protest or cause a scene but we were racially profiled last night. Just to add there were only two other caucasian people at the bar. The place had just opened and the bar was empty. I will never go back to The Factory. I've been there multiple times, I've never seen him. Any other time I've been it's always good music, drinks, and a good vibe.

The factory is a good place to be after most of the other bars close BUT getting a drink here is damn near impossible. Everyone just hangs around the bar making it super crowded, if they used the bar next to the pool tables it would open up space in the area and have better flow. Other than that the, who I assume is the owner, rushes people to finish their drink at close and pretty much kicks them out.

Not worth your money. Racist to people of color. I’d strongly recommend avoiding. They take the really bad reviews off of Facebook so don’t trust that.

Owner clearly has a case of Napoleon syndrome. Just a lil guy that gets off on being rude to costumers.There are plenty better bars in downtown than this joint like Ron’s, Fec’s, Tavern of 6th, or Rustic Road that have a WAY better atmosphere.

I found it very astounding that the owner here had asked me politely to leave because a particular bartender name Katie tonight felt for some reason not to like police or ex police officers and felt intimidated by my presence unfortunately, the owner couldn't offer a reason other than supporting his bartender's request. I understand some others have failed at their job to serve and protect the people while majority of others suffer the repercussions do to other's mishaps while trying their best at heart to serve. I don't fault the owner. However, I do fault the bartender's prejudice and hope she finds solace.
