Our waitress was wonderful and very kind however the food was alittle disappointing. The veal parmesan was alittle tough and unfortunately the pasta sauce seemed to have little to no flavor to it. It was the first time back in the restaurant after 15 years and was left disappointed.

Villa d Carlo, aka Carl's, is IMHO, the best pizza in Kenosha
And that says a lot, because we have many excellent pizza establishments

Sorry can’t rate the food the service was so bad we left while only offered water.
It was very early on a Wednesday and the waitress were too busy chatting to offer us drinks or an appetizer. Never again

The food was excellent, however, the service was absolutely horrible. This has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember; always loved it. We received and ate our pizza before our appetizer ever came out. Had to remind the waitress 3 times what drink we ordered and then she proceeded to never bring the drink...at all. So one of us just had to drink warm water with our meal. Never got any bread while everyone else around us were getting theirs, never were offered any refills, asked for the bill twice only for her to stop back at our table with the impression we were waiting on diet cokes. It took nearly 30 minutes to receive the bill...then the waitress disappeared somewhere so we ended up just paying at the front desk. A night out for pizza turned into a 2.5 hour meal.

****Update****

After our initial experience, we decided to do a little test. The whole story about the wings did not make sense at all. We decided to order the wings for takeout to see if we would still get the same "hot" wings that were tossed in Buffalo sauce and BBQ sauce. We were right. The wings we had during our first experience were not their typical hot wings. Our take out order had the correct wings, the traditional wings tossed in Buffalo sauce. I am adding another photo so you can see the difference for yourself.

The worst part of this experience was the LYING. Why lie? Why make up an elaborate story as if we didn't have any common sense? We were enjoying ourselves, and we were totally fine waiting for a fresh order of wings. We were willing to pay for the hot wings and the BBQ/Buffalo combo wings. We are still confused by the service we received.

If you plan on eating at this restaurant, just know that you might not get new food in the event your order is messed up.

Original Review:
Tonight was a huge disappointment. We ordered hot wings, chicken dumpling soup, and 3 different 9-inch pizzas. First and foremost, we ordered the hot wings with a side of BBQ sauce as an appetizer. The server came out to let us know that the cook accidentally tossed the wings in BBQ sauce instead of putting it on the side. She told us they were making a new order of hot wings. We told her it was no problem, we were fine waiting. 30 seconds later, she brings out the "hot" wings. I asked her if the wings were the hot ones or the BBQ ones and she told us they were the hot ones. I took a bite and they were 100% tossed in BBQ sauce. When she came back, we let her know they were BBQ and asked if we could place another order of traditional hot wings with no BBQ sauce. She said absolutely and she would ask them to remove the BBQ ones off the bill. (We were fine paying, we just wanted an order of traditional hot wings.) And one minute later she comes back and told us that's how they make their hot wings. She said their hot wings are hot sauce mixed with BBQ sauce. I asked if I could just have hot sauce and she told me no. Needless to say, her story made zero sense at all and it was very disappointing. (Picture below, you be the judge) I ordered the chicken dumpling soup. I wasn't impressed it didn't have homemade dumplings, rather, they just dumped some gnocchi in the soup. Lastly, the pizzas were okay but overall mostly flavorless. They lacked any seasoning or flavor.

We sat outside and it was nice at first, then there were a ton of bees. We had to leave because I am allergic to bees and there were at least 5 hovering over us and our food.

After tonight's experience, we will not be returning.

Dined in for the first time in years. Usually to carry-out or delivery. One of the best pizzas in Kenosha. Atmosphere ain't nothing to talk about and the service is below standards.

Had dinner at Villa D'Carlo last Friday evening and was disappointed with the overall experience. Server did not engage with us throughout the entire meal. She did not check on us during the meal and we had to flag her down for service. We felt that we were a bother and intruding on her whenever we asked for anything e.g., another glass of wine or water bottle refill, or the check.

My wife had pizza which was OK, bottom was burned, but still edible. I had half spaghettis and half ravioli with meat sauce. Meat sauce was basically tomato sauce with large chucks of ground beef. Most disappointing was the garlic bread we ordered. The garlic bread was a loaf of bread, cut in half length wise and then very heavily toasted. It didn't have any taste of garlic, was overly toasted and dry, dry, dry! I don't understand how an Italian restaurant can have such a horrible garlic bread.

As mentioned at beginning the overall experience was disappointing. Next time we will try Tuscany Bistro & Bar.

Nostalgia can’t save this restaurant anymore. Used to be a family favorite, food is still good. But the experience we had today was the last straw. Had a reservation and waited 45 minutes to even get greeted by a waiter to take our order. The server was so slow. Our cups were dirty with black gunk all over them. There was a 12 person party beside us there first and didn’t even get their order in while we were waiting. Been waiting a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes and still haven’t gotten food while I’m writing this review. While waiting, we literally saw a mouse run across the floor. When we told the manager, she only comped 15% of the bill and we still had to wait for our food because to go orders were being made ahead of ours. Thats how you handle someone who discreetly told you about a mouse issue and has been waiting 90 minutes already? The place is run down, the decor is cringy, business process needs work, and obviously they need to work on some rodent control. Not happy with the experience and the food isn’t worth coming back anymore. Highly disappointed.
