A classic Wisconsin super club!

Our first visit here for a Father's Day dinner. Wait was a little longer than expected but staff was very friendly and we liked our food. Ribeye was delicious and we enjoyed the soups. Thank you!

Top notch low key supper club. If someone has no clue what a supper club is, take them here for the real thing.

We ate at Marty’s Place the Saturday before Mother’s Day. We have eaten at Marty’s a number of times, but not since they reopened. We weren’t disappointed with the Food, Service and the atmosphere. The bar area is a beautiful old Wisconsin bar, and the drinks are well crafted and fairly priced. The dining areas remind me of the old Wisconsin Supper clubs that I’ve been in throughout my life. But the real reason I’m writing this review is the food. For the first time in my dining “life”, Sturgeon was featured on the menu. I couldn’t resist, and wasn’t disappointed. It was a generous portion, topped with seasonings that complemented the fish, and was cooked perfectly. I’d order it again……and will. My wife had Pork Schnitzel, and our son had the walleye. It was all delicious. Can’t wait to make a return visit.

Marty’s definitely has that classic supper club vibe. All staff was attentive, efficient, and friendly. We had a large table, and our waitress handled everything perfectly.
Food was excellent, nice selection on the salad bar.

Was disappointed by the owner being very rude. Food was good but the staff and owner trying to explain Thursday special was horrible. I'm not used to going for discounted food but I thought what the heck and try it. They said it had to be 27.95 and dummy me of course was thinking minimum price and that's on me but as rude as owner was that was just not a friendly customer focused response. I said could we do something with the mix up, the server knew I was asking for the 2 for 44 dollars and when I ordered why didn't they help me understand those were the wrong price points. But it didn't happen until the bill came out. I still tipped the server but I will never go there again. They don't have anything displayed or on a simple piece of paper to include with the menu to say 27.95 or less. For me, I am used to buying more than two things there is minimum price, not maximum price. I said to the owner at the register I didn't hear him or the servers say 27.95 or less and he snapped back, that if it was the minimum then everyone would order 2 lobster tails and I wouldn't have a restaurant. I said fine, paid and tipped and said I will not come here again. I would rather spend more and go to Mark's Eastside, Victoria's, even Cinder's is so much friendlier, even if some of those have a higher price for excellent food. Being rude to first time customers is not a way to keep a business going either. I have worked in food services, retail, bartender, and professionally and I would be fired being so rude, I guess one perk of being owner there are no consequences for your rudeness.

We arrived 1st in our group of 5 at around 4:30pm on a SAT with no reservations. You could add your name on the list in the bar up to 4:30pm - afterwards you needed to set reservations at the host/hostess stand in the diningroom area. Our waitress Michel was OUTSTANDING! Personable, efficient and fun - [no milk with ice BUT we have ice ??]. My hubby had the SAT special Prime Rib, roasted red potatoes - he ate it all! I had the Lisa Tenderloin - moist steak with ooey gooey melted cheese, big bacon chunks with roasted garlic absolutely delicious. My brother had the lasagna and finished his too. Each came with a trip to the salad bar and soups. Head lettuce with mixed greens - I added cottage cheese, peas, blue cheese crumbles with shredded cheddar cheese then drizzled French Dressing. A wonderful evening for all of us there. 1st time, but we will be back ~ to try the ribs ??❤️?
