You don’t go here for food or for drinks because the place looks like it’s in decay. You go here to see an old dive and most likely you’ll leave because nothing looks inviting. It has potential because it looks retro however it needs to be made attractive somehow for drink or food. It’s mostly empty and it needs a lot of help :(

BATHROOMS ARE EXTREMELY NASTY!! Haven't been cleaned in years from the looks of them! Would not use the ladies room! Would not even walk all the wainto the bathroom! With the bathrooms that bad how are they passing an inspection????? How bad is the kitchen in comparison?

We arrived on a Sunday morning...outside appearance....needs cleaning for sure. Inside, we sat by bar... bartender was pleasant...BUT..there was a grease fire. The young man cooking struggled on attempting to get it out. The two young people working has to call the owner...We heard him say that that happens a lot.....so probably a deep cleaning of that would make sense, correct? Also...a deep cleaning of the entire bar would not be a bad idea either. The walls around the kitchen was nasty. The young lady bartending apologized, but we already canceled food order...and changed our wanting a bloody Mary to tap beer. There was also tables that needed clearing....and it was not busy at the time. It would be awesome for such a wonderful setting for someone to invest elbow grease on addressing posted issues from other customers... Thank you.

My favorite bar away from the downtown scene of La Crosse with a great view of the bluffs. Never have to wait to be served on a regular night. Some of my favorite serves are Ella, Sophie, and Kendall, as well as Brady and Robbie making some great food.
I have never had a bad experience at the Alpine! My friends and I love to come here. The burgers and pizzas never fail to hit the spot. Fantastic service and great atmosphere!

Major mold problem and leaking roof. There is a strong mold smell throughout the building. Other than that it's a dirty old bar that has cold beer so it's not a one star. However, it makes you wonder how clean the beer lines are. I came in with a group of around 15 and the majority of people seemed pleased but we only stopped for drinks.
