Cavalier Theater and Lounge

Going to events here is fun. I just wish the floor was leveled out or the seats were put back in somehow. It's hard to stand on an incline as an old person 😅

It's actually a pretty small music hall. I was going to an overtime concert expecting more people and a bigger area. Worst part of it all was as a $ 130v.i.p ticket holder I was treated no different than the people who paid 25 dollars to get in. Had no arrangements for v.i.p just charge more for the higher price ticket.

the owner Jason is a douche bag. Plus there's so many bars/venues in La Crosse that's wayyy better than the Cavalier.

Dirty, dingy, rundown. Owner is a creep who likes to post in the 3rd person and rant on social media. Bar literally has bugs in the bottles. He's been caught refilling alcohol bottles on camera in front of patrons which makes me wonder what he's doing behind the scenes. This man has been in the business for decades and can't even make an old fashion..... Oh and now that he can't find real business he just allows a bunch of underage college kids in. This place used to be historical and amazing. Now it's a joke that should be shut down.

The Cavalier bar has a cool art deco atmosphere. It's nice and clean with a wide selection of libation. The theater part brings in some good acts throughout the year, follow on Facebook to keep informed on upcoming acts.

The owner allegedly didn't know marrying bottles is illegal, admitted to being raided by the atf and having video evidence of that fact and went on to somehow try to turn any ounce of responsibility for that action into him dragging the whistle-blowers name through the mud. This is one of a 100 different assanine, unprofessional social media posts. Beyond that, he is also a completely inept bartender and didn't even know how to make me an old fashioned while training the one time I have been there. During the same visit, tons of the entertainment for the night had to return drinks with bugs in them..... I wouldn't have supported the venue anymore thereafter but watching him self destruct doesn't give me any satisfaction with the area having so few venues left. Do better.

We usually drop in to the lounge before we go to dinner.Jason makes great cocktails and we love chatting and see what shows are ongoing.Love it here!
