Absolutely great food! I especially like the more one-of-a-kind menu options. Been here many times and never once disappointed!

Tried Fatheads for the 1st time, very disappointed. With a limited menu, I choose the cheeseburger, asked for lettuce and tomato on it, got no tomato, and the lettuce was fried with the burger. Burger was so dried out, it tasted like it was cooked a week ago. I would not recommend this place to anyone for the food. Based on my experience only.

Very disappointed, atmosphere was more bar than restaurant, seating to a minimum, the menu was a little odd. I chose a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato. I received no tomato, the lettuce was fried! And the burger was over cooked and dried out like it was cooked last week.
I would not recommend eating here.

Standard bar setup. But the Viet pork sandwich was great. Had these nice lightly spicy cucumber pickles, a standard Viet veg mix on it. And some pretty spot on pork. Juicy and tender. Oh and the curly fries were a good contrast to the soft sandwich.

Generous portions of top-tier bar food, great beer selection, and consistently a good vibe to relax with, full of happy locals and occasional live music.

Check it out on Tuesdays and you can enjoy darts and pool for free!

Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with great service. If you are looking for a great little bar and grill for a solid lunchtime experience, then Fathead Steve's is the place. The cook absolutely knows what they are doing, my variation on the patty melt was cooked to perfection and the fries were as good as I've had. Will definitely be back!

Keep this place busy people! This is one of La Crosse’s hidden gems! They have great sandwiches at great prices. My fav is the Vietnamese pulled pork, also can’t go wrong with the chicken bacon ranch. Staff are great as well. Excellent fries and curds too. Good beer selection for literally everyone.

Atmosphere was fine, the food was marginal at best. Tried three different dishes and couldn't get through a single one.

Last minute came in with a large crowd on a thurs (30+ people). The staff that was there did a great job accommodating us. We were able to hang out on the patio and they even brought out chalk for the kids. The food was amazing and they did an awesome job staying on top of orders. Would recommend, will be back.

One of my favorite spots as a long time La Crosse resident! Service is awesome and the food is amazing. They do all things service with just two or three people on staff which is extremely impressive.
