Houghton's has great food, great drinks, and very attentive, friendly employees! Great place to relax and enjoy! They have the BEST chicken dumpling soup! (Never had anything there that wasn't good!)

Cool place. I love the old musical instruments displayed. Best chicken dumpling soup ever, but the best part by far is the friendly and accommodating staff. I have a family member who is at Mayo a lot and often stops there for lunch. He loves it and said that its impossible to be in a bad mood there because the staff are so friendly. This place is local gem.

Heard great things about this place. Highly disappointed, 1 waitress/bartender/foodserver while another just stood there watching. Waited 15-20 min to get waited on, waitress wa behind bar on her cell phone texting. Chix dumpling soup was good. Only 1 of 3 meals came out, she didn't put in full order. Appetizer came out with the 1 meal. She asked if other 2 still wanted their meals or not. WTH! After a longer yet wait they got them. Sandwiches sloppily made, order not correct. She offered to comp 2 soda's and a coffee. I disagreed she comped a meal & appetizer. Will NEVER go back. Such a shame.

Definitely meant to be more of a bar than a pub + restaurant. The food was cheap and greasy, the server only had enough patience for the regular bar-goers, and was rude to the college employee who took over her shift when we got there. If you're looking for a quick and convenient drinking spot near the Viterbo University, then it's not a bad option. I wouldn't recommend anything food wise unless it's late at night and you're looking for something to go along with a couple of drinks

Food is not good for the over price the charge. Found a big piece of plastic in the soup. When we told staff they just took it and didn't replace the soup. Waited forever. Never got refills. Waaay to crowded.

Ordered the 1/4 chicken dinner that showed $18.75 on the menu. Got the bill and it was $20.75. All I got from the waitress was, she would let the manager know. Be careful! Bait and switch if you ask me.
