The best food in the area. Phenomenal service. They really know what they're doing for flavors. Would love to see a full tasting menu out of them, possibly with wine options. I might even come back to the area for it. Outstanding food. The highlight of our short trip.

It’s a little pretentious but I gave 3 stars because holy crap was it freezing. We sat right under this huge vent and it froze us out. We asked the server about it and she said they offer shawls? Why not just turn up the temp a bit, or better yet move the vent or the table.

I loved the vibes in here. Very romantic and cozy. The food was amazing and our server Morgan was amazing she was so friendly and had really great recommendations. We took all her recommendations and had a super great meal. I would absolutely come back. I loved the lamb shank and the apple cake.

We were traveling from Missouri and ended our trip here and it was absolutely fantastic experience. Gents (sp?) was our server and he made our experience fantastic. You can tell he took pride in his work and was proud to work there. I had the short rib ravioli and it was delicious. My husband had the flat iron steak with chimichurri sauce. The sourdough bread was fantastic.
We are road tripping and were worried we’d be under dressed in jeans and nice shirts but maybe because it was Oktoberfest weekend everyone was super casual. It was a tad loud maybe because of drunk Oktoberfesters, mainly the people at the bar. The wine list was insane and whiskey/bourbon choices were plentiful. If we lived here we would come here regularly. We are well traveled foodies and not easily impressed and this place was delightful.
This is my favorite restauran in the whole city. I recommend going early as they don't take reservations. The food is delicious, the wairstaff is knowledgeable, and the artmoshere is perfect. Highly recommend it. Perfect for a date night, wedding anniversary or just an enjoyable night out.

Wonderful 14th Anniversary dinner! Our server Larson was amazing. The pasta was best I’ve ever had. We had a long wait on a busy Saturday night but well worth it! Will go again
The seating was excellent with plenty of room for two couples. Food was as expected, perfectly prepared. A very cheerful waitress who knew the menu and was able to answer questions about that menu and wine list provided our service. We had appetizers, an entree, drinks including cocktails, beer, wine and coffee with dessert and never was pressured to leave and we spent almost 2 hours enjoying our meal and conversation. A very satisfying dining experience, what one comes to expect living in the hip little town of LaCrosse, WI.

Absolutely wonderful place to dine. The food was fantastic but the service went above and beyond!! It wasn't the fastest service, but it was fine dining and that was done perfectly, I'm my opinion. Ethan was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Well done, all around!

We dined at Lovechild on a recent Thursday evening. There was a concert in town, so the restaurant was quite busy. We were able to get two seats at the bar, which was actually pretty fun My wife had chicken thighs and I had a halibut dish. Both were tasty, well prepared entrees. The star of the show was a corn and tomato salad as a first course. It was really good! I wish we had ordered three of them!:) Service at the bar was friendly and professional. The bar staff was quite busy but they took good care of us. The room is just a bit dark, but I loved the brick walls. Overall a very good restaurant that I would happily visit again.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Lovechild. From the wait, which was not bad considering a busy Friday evening on a holiday weekend, to our server, who was so excited to tell us more about every item we were interested in, the service was above and beyond. The food was incredible, with highlights being the homemade pasta, steak, and dessert options. The wine menu is almost overwhelmingly extensive, and the cocktails are all unique and inspired. We will be back the next time we're in La Crosse, and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a special evening in the area.
