Unparallel ambiance and a comfy venue.

Always our go-to for movies. Good beers on tap and terrific pizza made in house.

-Smelly, filthy restrooms with broken toilets

- Apathetic staff

- Pizza-of-the-month that they advertise but won't make

- Owner that uses the venue as a dog whistle for their own personal politics

- Charging for movies available free on virtually any platform.

- Even ran into some idiot smoking pot in the bathroom during a later showing.

Would not bring my kids here, especially at night when the cult crowd slithers out. Nice to see the owners continuing The Rivoli's legacy of low standands.

Old-time theatre- fixed the heating that plagued it before, saw a great first-run movie for $5 and sipped on a tasty craft beer. Couldn't have had a better experience!

The Rivoli Theatre is a great spot to catch a movie while enjoying pizza and a beer. It’s not the fanciest or most modern theater, but it’s been around since 1920, and that nostalgia adds to its charm. Sure, it’s a bit old-school, but that’s what makes it special. Plus, where else can you kick back, watch a movie, and enjoy a drink and a meal? The theater can be a little chilly, so dress warmly, but it’s a one-of-a-kind experience!

Wonderful customer service, very low prices and a great selection of cult classics as well as new movies. Also really cheap to rent out a theater for an event. My go-to movie theater even though it's a bit of a drive for me to get there, it's worth it.

Rivoli Theatre and Pizzeria is a fun, nostalgic spot that brings together the charm of an old-school movie theater with the convenience of in-theater dining. The spacious seating with tables is perfect for a comfortable movie experience, and the added perk of ordering food and having it delivered right to your seat is a treat. The theater has a lovely vintage vibe that adds to its unique character.

They serve beer and soda. The pizza was decent, though the crust was a bit doughy for my taste, and the popcorn, though tasty, was prepared ahead of time, leaving it slightly mushy. However, the friendly staff, dressed in festive Halloween costumes, made the visit extra enjoyable. Overall, Rivoli Theatre and Pizzeria offers a great mix of atmosphere and entertainment, making it a fun place to catch a movie with a meal!

need better movie options !

Historic theater that shows second run and throwback movies, with an occasional new one.

Staff is friendly and helpful - unlike the rude children running the Marcus theater across town.

Throughout the year they do movie theme months (The Rivoli in Space!) And Cult Movie Nights. They also partner with other businesses in the community to host fun and exciting events - such as a Big Lebowski party with real bowling afterward!

And for the kids they host themed events (Barbie) and a Halloween party to mention a few.

Food and beverages are really great including a wide array of both tap and bottled beers, soda, "infused" drinks (wink) - in additon to excellent pizza (many times to go along with the theme of the month), popcorn, candy, and standard snacks.

Oh, and the prices are very fair.

The Rivoli is a staple of downtown La Crosse and an excellent place to catch a movie and grab a bite to eat. Staff are all friendly and welcoming, and the food is great!
