If I could give zero stars I would . Food was not good , definitely not authentic. And , I think they delete bad reviews, idk how , but my last one was took down . Rude service, might be prejudice, just being honest . Young skinny guy , very rude !! Sucks … I’ll stick to TacoBros and Bettys, authentic food , great friendly atmosphere..

Got in just after a huge dinner rush. Despite this I was treated by a fast, polite, and professional staff who prepared some amazing food. I got the carne asada fries and the flavor was absolutely fantastic. Fresh ingredients and generous proportions. Can't recommend this place enough and I will for sure be stopping there whenever I find myself downtown.

Our team partnered with Mauricio and his family (owners of Tacomex) to host a cooking class for students from Western Technical College. They shared their story of how they came to La Crosse and opened up the restaurant, walked us through how to make birria tacos, red rice, beans, and tortilla chips and then the group was able to enjoy the tacos. Mauricio did an AMAZING job walking through the cooking process and the food (as always) was delicious! The family is incredibly hospitable, kind, and gracious. They are so considerate and remember the orders of repeating customers, which shows a level of care for their patrons. This was the first time our team has done a student experience like this and we cannot wait to partner with them again and explore other dishes!
