The Ridge has become part of our Family Friday Fish Fry tradition! We go there with Dad and our family and have the best time! We love the best homemade soups in the La Crosse area, the familiar friendly faces that work and patron there, and old school atmosphere! Our experience at The Ridge was excellent, from the salad bar to the pumpkin creme brulee for dessert, and everything in-between. I had the batter-fried jumbo shrimp & French fries which were perfectly cooked and served piping hot. Husband's walleye was pan-fried to perfection. The staff was efficient and friendly, and the portions were very generous and priced appropriately. I HIGHLY recommend and can't wait to go back, and that's not something I say about more than a couple of restaurants within a 50 mile radius of home! P.S. My bourbon old fashioned was delicious 😉. ☆☆☆☆☆

It was just ok. My filet was supposed to be medium but it was very rare. I sent it back and it wasn't much better. My dog liked it. IMO it was overpriced for what we got.

I had reservations for 6 at 7PM. We arrived at 7 and there were two tables for six all set up, but they told us to wait in the bar, 25 minutes later I went back to the hostess and noticed that one of the tables was still available, and we were seated. I guess that they were just throwing a bone to the bar.

We went for the brunch buffet. It was ok, the bacon kind of had an off flavor, the biscuits for biscuits and gravy were tough, I could barely cut through them. It was like chewing on a hunk of meat. For the price we could have gone to north country steak buffet and had many more options.
The service itself was decent and friendly. Attentive.
They really should have labels for things because you honestly don't know what you may be putting on your plate. There was a gravy that looked like it could have been a sauce for the French toast since it was in the same steamer stack.

Nice, casual place to eat and meet friends. I live in St. Joe’s and eat there often. They have the best fish sandwich in the area. Friendly owner and staff. Their customer appreciation night was fun. Highly recommended.

Menu has changed very high prices. My husband had the surf and turf and his steak was like shoe leather. Salad bar was horrible lettuce was brown and slimy. Not busy and we waited 45 minutes for our food

They changed the menu and no longer offer tenderloin steaks. However, I tried tried the Ribeye steak for $37.00 and my husband tried the sirloin steak for $25.00. Both steaks needed. Not good period. They both needed plenty of jaw power to chew them with very little meaty flavor. Their on-line menu is for looks only. Those items do not exist. We made a special trip for burger Tuesday and they weren’t even open. We came back on Sunday for a Twin 6 Tenderloin and it wasn’t off the menu. No ham dinner either. It was our place to go for REAL STEAK. We always took our company and friends to this awesome steakhouse. We are now looking for a great steakhouse elsewhere. So, so disappointed.
