Ok. So first off let me say. I think we may have hit at a bad night cuz of weather or maybe a cook called in sick?? First time I've eaten here in about 10 years. I used to stop almost once or twice a month. The place is amazing. The bar and staff supporting the restaurant were amazing. The food was just......flavorless and bland. My GF got the 2pc Catfish pan-fried. It was soggy and mushy. The red garlic mashed potatoes were blah. I got the 20oz prime rib. While it was tender it lacked depth and flavor for 45 dollars. The outside edge was decent but so fatty and undercooked it didn't melt away with the actual prime rib meat to enjoy like should have been. The AuJus was just onion soup. My ridge fries were soggy and blah. I just wish we woulda stayed at the bar I guess. Great waitress and staff and atmosphere though. We will try again in few weeks so hopefully I can change this review. We will see....

Always delicious food and great service. Love their salad bar and Friday fish.
So I went to this restaurant for their Wednesday Special. (8oz. Prime Rib) The food was actually good. The rub was a little too heavy on the black pepper for my liking, but still good. I also had the batter fried mushrooms for an appetizer. Again, they were delicious. My problem is that they advertised it as a prime rib. It wasn't. It was at best a Ribeye with the rub added on. I get that it was a weekday special, and the price, even for a Ribeye, was reasonable, however, just be honest and call it what it is. Most people dont know their cuts of meat, but those that do, feel insulted. Service was surprisingly slow as I was one of only 3 occupied tables in the dining area.

This was my inaugural visit to this establishment. The experience was outstanding. I opted for the brunch buffet, and the food was exceptional. The buffet offered an adequate selection of food, complemented by a full salad bar. The staff is exceedingly cordial and the service was outstanding. There were ample tables available. There is also a comprehensive bar on-site, and they seemed to have some excellent signature drinks listed. The price was quite reasonable for an all-you-can-eat buffet. You can also order items à la carte from the kitchen. They serve dinner as well, which I will try soon.
I am absolutely certain that I will be returning. I strongly suggest giving it a shot!

The Ridge has become part of our Family Friday Fish Fry tradition! We go there with Dad and our family and have the best time! We love the best homemade soups in the La Crosse area, the familiar friendly faces that work and patron there, and old school atmosphere! Get the cranberries on your amazing salad from a clean and fresh salad bar! All the love ❤️
Service was wonderful and we were also the only ones in the dining room! Friendly staff.
The breakfast buffet was good! The fresh bread, cinnamon rolls, and french toast strips were good.
They had high chairs available but I'm not sure about menu items since we got the breakfast buffet and 3 year olds are free.
Ladies bathroom did not have a changing table but the countertop was large enough to put a changing pad down.

I found this place because I was looking online for a really good supper club as we were in the area. I picked it on its high ratings and rave comments about their wonderful salad bar. It was a dark night and the Ridge is outside the city. We passed it because their sign was not lit nor was the parking lot. It was in almost total darkness except some light coming from a few windows. We stumbled on some stones because we couldn’t see them. Inside the bar was on one side and restaurant on the other. All chairs were cracked and taped up. The server was the cashier and hostess. I ordered a drink and my wife coffee. The bartender came and plopped the drink on the table and didn’t say anything. He went over to two of the four tables with patrons and was super friendly. I guess he couldn’t be friendly to everyone. After 15 minutes I asked again for my wife’s coffee and got an evill eye . The salad bar was okay. The soup was very good. We ordered chicken and it came with two pieces on a plate with a small bowl of mashed potatoes. Not what I would think as a supper club presentation. The paper napkins were fine and it went with the atmosphere. The chicken taste was bland. The high rating didn’t match our experience.

Called ahead and was told for four wouldn’t take long to be seated. Put our name down at 6:30. Waited 40 minutes in the bar. Seated at 7:10 ordered 7:20 got our food at 8:15. Only saw two servers. Food was good not great time it took to get our food was a reason for us to say “The Ridge is off the menu”. Better places to go on a Friday night in La Crosse area.

Our experience at The Ridge was excellent, from the salad bar to the pumpkin creme brulee for dessert, and everything in-between. I had the batter-fried jumbo shrimp & French fries which were perfectly cooked and served piping hot. Husband's walleye was pan-fried to perfection. The staff was efficient and friendly, and the portions were very generous and priced appropriately. I HIGHLY recommend and can't wait to go back, and that's not something I say about more than a couple of restaurants within a 50 mile radius of home! P.S. My bourbon old fashioned was delicious 😉. ☆☆☆☆☆
It was just ok. My filet was supposed to be medium but it was very rare. I sent it back and it wasn't much better. My dog liked it. IMO it was overpriced for what we got.
