La Crosse Bierhaus – Review
La Crosse Bierhaus brings Bavarian charm to Wisconsin with a solid lineup of German beers and classic pub fare. Expect pretzels, schnitzel, brats, and other hearty dishes served in a lively beer hall atmosphere. The decor leans rustic and festive, and there's often live music or events adding to the energy. Service is efficient, and the beer selection is the star. Great spot for groups, casual nights out, or anyone craving a taste of Germany.

So, where to begin…
If I could give no stars I would.
We arrived at roughly 4:30, there were 4 of us. Place was pretty much empty. Our server was polite and brought out waters quickly.
We ordered a couple beers, she offered us a sample… all is going well at this point.
We ordered the pretzel for an appetizer, and it was the best part of the meal.
After the pretzel arrived it was a significant amount of time before we saw our server again.
We ordered the Saturday special , which was a chicken schnitzel, and the pork schnitzel which was not on special.
After about a 40 minute wait our food arrived. Of the four of us, two got the special and two ordered the regular dinner. The portions on the specials were considerably smaller than the regular entrees. All of them were fried to hockey puck status. The sauerkraut was bland and inedible. The red cabbage tasted like cardboard.
We left a majority of the food on the plate. Had it not been for the pretzel appetizer, which was gigantic, we would have left hungry.
The reason for the service rating is because as we were paying the bill, we mentioned the sub par food, the server’s response was “ yea, those looked way over done to me too.” So after all that, the servers thought the food looked bad, and yet served it anyway.
As we waited and waited for our check more and more people started to enter and the place filled up quickly. Our server was not only serving and bussing tables, she was slinging drinks behind the bar. She was definitely slammed, and this review is not directed at her, but rather whoever the manager is for not having the proper staffing.
Bottom line is the food was horrible and the insufficient staffing made the experience less than enjoyable. Will not be going back.

There was even live music in the afternoon; polka band.

Cool vibe. Live polka. Monster Bavarian pretzels with mustard. Great selection of German and a curated selection of Wisconsin and Minnesota beers.
My only disappointment was when I ordered the Beyond Burger (they also have a Beyond Brat). It was clearly cooked on the same grill top as beef/other meats, and the server confirmed it. I don't want beef on my meatless meal.
Do better, management. Don't offer vegetarian entrees if you do this type of stuff. It's misleading and immoral.

Actively serves not only underage drinkers but children down to the age of 14. When I spoke to the bouncers, bartenders, and managers they all said they didn’t check ids and it wasn’t there issue. The last time I was there there were women vomiting on the floor of the bar who couldn’t stand up straight because they were over served and the bouncer laughed while saying she needed a hospital and when I said no she actually does he laughed even harder… that girl overdosed on alcohol on the ground and I had to call an ambulance for her because not one single person working would take me seriously. This bar should be shut DOWN!

Amazing food, beer, and atmosphere! It was a joy and I will definitely be back! Went with some friends and we shared a couple appetizers plus our meals. Even the sides were outstanding! Plus fun and appropriate live music! The entire experience was a salve for my soul.

Great service. *Decent* german-american food. Ive had better though. Although permitted by Wisconsin law, this place dosent let <21 drink with their parents. Which makes sense, and of course it's their decision. Has a very good selection of non-alchoholics though. Overall 6.5/10 if i had to put it on that scale.
Unfortunately, the food was awful. We ordered the beer bratwurst and it did not taste good at all. We were disappointed.
I would never recommend this place. Our Pork Schnitzel was way over cooked, even hard to cut with a steak knife. The spaetzle was cold as well as the cabbage. Told them the Schnitzel was way over cooked the waitress said Sorry about that. I gave it two stars because the pretzel was good.

I accidentally came across this place a year ago and now I go there whenever I’m in the area! The food is amazing and I love the music!!
Need to re-establish bartender etiquette. A person from iowa and left my card, came back and asked for it. Stood there at the bar for 10 minutes didn’t get asked a single question and made eye contact multiples time with bartenders. Plural. Ended up taking 20 minutes just to close a tab! Piss pour service and will not recommend this bar to any tourist!
It's a nice place and the staff is fun. The food is very good and quite a few beer options
Didn't eat but place was really cool. Inside setup was rustic with German cabin vibe. Nice music stage. Plenty of beer on tap. Parking is a pain.
First time in LaCrosse and decided to go explore the area and I found this gem! Had some bier watched some football and chatted with some of the employees. Great time
