Papa’s Blue Spruce Resort

We went because of the Happy Cow reviews and were not disappointed. 2 vegan appetizers and 2 vegan entres!!! Plus, vegan sauces and a host that gets it. No asking about every item here. The fried mushroom appetizer was awesome, and we split the falafel wrap and walnut burger. Both were delicious. Plus, the proximity to Lake Como and outdoor area was nice. Would have given Papa's a 5, but the app will not allow a 5-star rating to places that are not 100% vegan. We will be back and will bring our friends.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. Finding quality vegan options in the area can be tough, but this place had multiple delicious choices—each one better than the last!

Our waitress, Taylor, was incredibly helpful and well-informed. She took the time to go over the menu with us and made some great recommendations.

The food was not only reasonably priced, but the portions were generous too. You can tell everything is made from scratch—nothing tasted frozen or pre-packaged. From the fresh ingredients to the warm service, everything about our experience felt authentic and thoughtful.

Highly recommend if you’re in the area, especially if you’re looking for vegan-friendly options without sacrificing flavor or quality!

The falafel sandwich is to die for! Not a fan of their liquor selections but I'll tough it out for the great food and service.

Best hamburger ever. The philly cheese steak is awesome too. Stop here whenever we can.

It's been a few years since I've had a burger at Papa's, and I must say, it was delicious! Better than I remembered. I was also very impressed by the bartender who single-handedly managed to serve the whole bar and the tables too. I will be revisiting soon.

Parking: Not many spots in their lot, but plenty of free parking in the street.

They are having a fishing tournament sat the 15 no pre registration. You have to wait in line at 7:00 am that's crazy

Hidden Gem!! Though there wasn't a ton of business at the time. This was truly a culinary experience!! This was a first of what will be many visits!

The oyster mushroom po'boy here is one of the top ten sandwiches I've ever had. Honorable mention to the cheese curd hush puppy app. Friendly staff, clean well lit and lots of games.

Vegetarian options: 10/10 oyster mushroom po'boy, walnut burger was good, other apps and sides. Vegan available.

Parking: Parking in front and on road along lake.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of families, games for older ones and high chairs for little ones.
