Doyle's Dogs "Downtown on Lake"

I never miss a chance to get a Doyle’s Chicago dog. Every time I’m in the Lake Mills area I stop in even if to just get one for later. I’ve been there many times and always a great experience. I was there during the Christmas season last year and dined in. As I was enjoying my delicious meal Mr Doyle came and handed me a Doyle’s dog ornament. Was a very nice gesture and will be added to my tree each year. Today my wife and 2 kids stopped down for the town and county days but got there pretty late. I checked to see if Doyle’s was open downtown, I was too late. I thought on our way out about 3:30 that I’d swing by the stand and see if they were still open. They were not, however as I slowly turned the corner Mr Doyle spotted me looking at the stand and could tell I was there to get food. He waived me over and said he’d be happy to get me and my family a meal. He was just about packed up and ready to leave so we said no we don’t want to impose but he insisted it was no problem. He took our order and promptly returned with 4 hot dogs and even put in extra popsicles. We asked how much and he said don’t worry it’s on him. We handed him the little cash we had left and he said no thank you but we insisted. He then said no problem I’ll put it in our donation bin. Not only did he re open for us but he also didn’t want our money. The generosity and kindness of this local business owner is extraordinary. If you have a chance to stop by Doyle’s don’t miss it. It’ll always be a wonderful experience and fantastic food. Thank you Mr Doyle

We're from Chattanooga, TN and were vacationing in Lake Mills. We popped into Doyle's on our way out of town, and the Chicago dog and baby Italian beef were delicious. Friendly staff and locals. Get a dog or an Italian beef here if you're in the area!

I stopped in at Doyle's Dogs this last weekend after my daughter Volleyball game. They had such a nice, simple menu it was easy to order, and they were very quick to turn the order around. we had a party of 7 people, and they nailed the order. I'll for sure have to stop in again when I pass through the area.

Great food. Last time I was in I had a question about the Beef Sticks and was offered one free on the house to try it. This place is great and has such a homie feel. You can tell the workers enjoy being there. That usually comes from great management, my assumption but regardless. Definitely worth the visit

I stopped by for lunch today for my first visit. Great looking place and the Chicago style dog was even better! I had to order a second one to get my fix. I’ll have to stop by again and bring my wife next time. This is definitely a hidden gem!

The Chili-cheese Dog tasted good, but definitely needed more cheese! One guy was gracious enough to gift a treat to us while we were there (it was an Easter-related treat, just past Easter), but then kept talking to us. While I appreciated the gift, I would prefer to enjoy my lunch with my family, and not the continued discussion from staff.

Baboon perpetrator..lied to a baboon lake mills cop to get me in trouble in 2017.Also ?? hot dogs gave my friends food poisoning ..laboratory tested that the products they sell are out dated and hence transmit bacteria .They cannot stay in business without over refrigerating thier meats which leads to similar bacteria of salmonella

Delightful little shop full of hotdog themed antiques. Traditional Chicago dog is the way to go, in my opinion, but they'll accommodate Wisconsinites with ketchup and kraut.Friendly owner. Offers gluten free buns.
