My husband and I are local and love the wings at Sunset and have always had great service until Wednesday 1/31/24. We were treated very rudely by the bartender, Gretchen. We counted 7 people at the bar so they weren't that busy. She didn't even acknowledge us until 5-10 minutes after we sat down. We ordered a soda and a tap beer. she proceeded to chit chat with 3 fellows sitting to our left and asked if they needed refills on their drinks and served them and proceeded to take others food orders. We politely asked if we could at least get our drinks and her comment to us was, "yeah, the tap beer is way over there", (at the other end of the bar). I then asked the gentleman next to me if I could just glance at his menu to see the sauces for the wings. She looked at me and rudely said, " I thought you didn't want a menu". I explained that I just wanted to look at the wing sauces. Gretchen proceeded to take others refill drink orders and totally ignored our order. We decided to get up and leave and she sarcastically said as we were walking out, " have a good night". Being a local, the best reviews are word of mouth and you can bet I will be letting other locals know to not go to Sunset if this woman is bartending. Matthew is wonderful and will only go if he is there.

Menu has been reduced to limited choices, recently. Prices are high. Pricing policies are greedy. Cheeseburger, no chips. $15.95. Dirty bar tops due to under staffing. The food is good, darn it! It just isn’t as enjoyable as it’s been in the past.

Excellent atmosphere, service and food! Would've given 5 stars, but it was a slow day and they were breaking in a new cook. We showed up with 11 people in our group and it took a little bit to get our food orders and correct additions

Horrible place and will not be coming back are plates were awful burnt food the server didn’t even get our orders right only one of the orders was right, but yet still burnt asked for a side cup of sauce for the chicken strips, and they only brought me a little half a cup of sauce. Very disappointing. Definitely not coming back I would rather eat McDonald’s then ever eating there agian !

First and last time to eat here. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and sat at a table. I ordered chargrilled chicken fillet with lettuce, onion and tomato. Was served small triangle of extremely dry, breaded chicken on a big bun. Onions were sliced about 1/2" thick. Tiny serving of the coleslaw side was vinegar and oil and crunchy. Only one waitstaff and she was also tending bar, which was very busy. One of our group was served an entree she didn't order. By the time her original meal came we were ready to go, so we took her food as a takeout. They need more staff and someone in the kitchen who can put together a simple meal. The chicken sandwich I ordered was pretty awful.

Stopped in for a quick bite when out with friends. Some things on menu a little high, but others very reasonable. Fingers, fries, cheese curd and onion rings very good and a decent amount.

Great food and service. Bluegill platter was excellent. Don't think I've been in here since my Grandpa had a boat shop here in the 60s.

Nice hangout with very friendly staff. Caution: Wing Wednesdays should be called Fried Chicken Day with a teaspoon of sauce. Good stopping point for boaters..

Used to be our absolute favorite week day dinner stop, but the food has gone wayyyy down hill. The last two meals we've gotten from here have been terrible... My burger was basically raw and my fries were greasy and dripping with oil. The loaded nachos hardly had any toppings on them except for a thin layer over the very top of them. Not to mention service being extremely slow and drink quality going way down as well.Hoping they can get it together so we can have our favorite spot back

I want to boost this restaurant because it is under new management and is much better than its current Yelp rating. It's still primarily a bar/restaurant, so when you walk in, you just sit wherever. The food was really good - the standout was the crinkle cut fries, which were big chunky fries, super crispy on the outside and soft inside. Our waitress was lovely and if we needed more of anything, she was quick to provide. Also: You can get here by car or by boat & there are some outdoor games like bags for entertainment.

Sat down n waited 15 min for someone to wait on us. No one showed up. Other people came in and sat at bar n got menus. We got up n walked out. Waitress never acknowledged us. Food waiting on shelf to be served for @ least 10 min. Poor service. Will go elsewhere from now on.
