Finally visited here for the first time last night. Everything was fantastic. The Chèvre Wontons reminded me of crab Rangoon, and th Laotian snacks offered a nice variety of small items. For my main course I got the Praram Long Song with fried chicken, which is nicely complemented by a side of peanut sauce. The atmosphere was very chic. Will definitely have to return sometime!

The laap, green papaya salad, and accompaniments were so well prepared tonight, and the service was endearing. Thanks for a great meal, Ahan team.

The food was very good, though I’ve had a similar dish with comparable flavor at Sala Thai for a lower price. This restaurant really shines in its ambiance, which is a big part of the experience.

disappointing. that’s the best way to sum it up.
we were expecting a nice dinner based on the photos and prices. but this place is poorly run. i don’t know how they got 4.6 stars.
where do i start. well i had to wear my coat the whole time because i was told the owner has a lock box on the thermostat. we weren’t the only ones cold, others moved tables.
the pho is very overpriced for what it is. the broth does not taste nourishing, it tastes incredibly sweet and i didn’t even add any hoisin. they also slacked on the basil. $25 for a standard beef and meatball is ludicrous. i’ve had better for $11 in Chicago.
the tapioca minced pork dumping appetizer had less than a teaspoon of meat in them. overall the food was the quality of somewhere half the price for college students.
service was spotty. weird music was playing. idk, at the end of the day it just isn’t worth the price. i won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it.
❤️ we ordered Thai iced tea, Laab, curry, salads, egg rolls, and mango sticky rice. They were all delicious and we will be back! All staff were sweet and helpful 10/10!

I really wanted to like this place and my family was excited to finally try this restaurant having seen videos and rave reviews about it. We decided to order their Galapao, Sai Oua fried rice, laap nuea (beef laap), Lao style papaya salad, and Mok pa to go.
All of us came away mostly disappointed.
The sticky rice that came with each entree was undercooked, and therefore was hard and dry. We also weren’t impressed by the papaya salad, Sai Oua fried rice, or the mok pa either as all of those dishes were weaker in flavor. The fried chicken that also came with the papaya salad was dry. The only thing that was really good was the beef laap, and we all thought it was a flavorful dish with the right amount of herbs and seasonings. Now I didn’t try the galapao, but another family member had it and said he liked it.
Overall, it’s unfortunate it mostly didn’t meet the expectations of the strong, bold, and complex Lao flavors we were hoping for. The only dish that hit that benchmark was the beef laap entree. In the end, the higher price point just didn’t justify the quality and average portion size you can get anywhere else.

I knew Ahan was good based on all the buzz and watching the Wisconsin Foodie which they were features in. It surpassed my expectations. Amazing vibe, cozy atmosphere, top notch waitstaff, and it was seriously hard to pick from all the great options on the menu. 10/10 will be back again!

Do not order Praram long song to go/take out. The vegetables are saucy and they put the fried chicken mixed with the sauce, so the chicken is extremely soggy by the time you get home (unless you literally live across the street from them). It is not worth the 22 dollars of disappointment for take out meal since the chicken is ruined.
We came here for the first time for my husband's birthday and we were very impressed. We had drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts and were in love with all of them. Our server was also very knowledgeable and attentive, filling up our water and grabbing us utensils without us having to ask, not rushing us at all. I wish we remembered his name because he made our experience that much more memorable. We can't wait to go back.

Been here twice, don’t really understand the hype it gets, specifically on Reddit. It’s okay, but nothing has been standout. Drunken noodles were pretty mediocre. There are better Thai places around.
