There was so many great options to choose from on the menu, I'm disappointed I didn't get to try them all. Started off with some apps had the jalapeno clintro hummus soo good if it had a touch of heat in it would have been even better. The grilled chicken sandwich was the best grilled chicken I've ever had in my entire life to die for honestly! The wasbi green beans cooked to perfection I wish I had a bucket of that. The cocktails there are also very creative and tasty. 10 out of 10. If I go back to town definitely will be back!!

A great meal, all the more so for a truly great server. A friend usually tied to her small business gave herself a day off and suggested Alchemy for a long lunch, so we could catch up. It could'd have been a more enjoyable meal. The menu is inventive, richly varied and didn't disappoint: my chili-infused flank steak, perfectly cooked, atop a zesty garbanzo and corn salad, was the best restaurant salad I've had in ages. It was a lovely day to linger under an umbrella outside. But what made the meal so memorable was Gideon, our server, the sweetest man I've ever met in Madison. If the city seeks a goodwill ambassador who embodies Madison's gracious, welcoming hospitality, this is your guy. He is a gem and Alchemy is so lucky to have him. My friend and I were joking that diners are usually assaulted at other restaurants by aggressive wait staff who jubilanty ask, "How is your first bite treating you?" before the fork has entered your mouth. Gideon is a natural people person and his charm is infectious and as soothing as the delicious meal he served us. Most wait staff never learn or are taught the delicate balance between hovering and being inattentive. Gideon gets it and was a welcome companion through our very enjoyable meal. My poor hardworking friend rarely gets a day off and I am so happy I was able to treat her to a comfortable dining experience on a rare day away from work. The Alchemy kitchen staff is world class and at the top of their game, but I give a lot of the credit to Gideon who was, for us, the face of Alchemy that day, and his smile sent us off happy and grateful customers. My best Madison dining experience all year. Rock on, Alchemy. And thanks, Gideon.

Lackluster. Went looking for a good burger joint and this place disappointed. Burger patty was small and didn’t have much flavor. The House Boat sandwich is a mess. The size of the chicken breast has no business being on a sandwich. We wished we had gone to McDonald’s.

Both indoor and outdoor seating. I had a bison burger that was cooked perfectly with asparagus. My wife had the curry dish. Unfortunately they did not have shrimp on their menu to go with it. She opted for Cajun chicken for a protein. The prices were good and The service was excellent!

We had absolutely delicious food. They offer several non-alcoholic drink choices too. The service from Gideon was outstanding. We highly recommend this restaurant for great food, healthy options, and fantastic service!

My son took me to lunch and it was amazing! I had the barbecue ribs, grilled asparagus and pasta salad and he had a coconut curry and we both loved our food, our server was excellent also.
