Intended to go to the location closer to the capitol but the line was out the door! I didn’t know they had a second location but it was just as great as the other one. I was looking forward to their avocado toast and they delivered!!

I got a breakfast burrito and a cinnamon roll and a coffee. In my quest to find the best breakfast burrito in town this is the current forerunner. Good size, good ingredients, and good composition. Secure enough to shove into your face while driving to work in your best slacks if you're an advanced user. For some reason the paper and foil wrappers were a little sticky, maybe with maple syrup? I probably shoudn't taste mystery stickiness in retrospect.

Also best cinnamon roll I have encountered but I'm not ranking those I only dabble.

Stopped here before my flight, staff recommended the Avocado toast, was not disappointed. Very friendly staff and great food as well as the atmosphere. Will come back for the food and staff next time I'm back in the area.

Cute, classy coffee shop. Great for mid-week studying and coffee. Don't try studying here on the weekends though; it's a much busier, louder place. Not in a bad way as there are many lively couples and families. Quite a bit of seating and even wonderful outdoor seating and service. Food is amazing! Love love love the food here. The avocado toast with caramalized brussel sprouts is the comfort food you didn't know existed.

Although the coffee is good, the staff is quite snooty and unpleasant. If you want Ancora, avoid the University Ave location.

Coffee drinks are kinda hit or miss, depends on batista. Same with baked goods. Would 100% get over starbucks. Still better tasting and comparably priced. Drink menu and food menu are waaaaay better. Cute little brunch place, not mind blowing but a good place to hang out for a bit and chill.

This is an all around great cafe. The baristas are knowledgeable about the menu items. There is, of course bags of coffee to purchase. There is plenty of seating on the first floor as well as the second floor. Lots of beautiful natural light coming into the cafe to lift the mood.

We met a friend here on a Saturday morning. The place was quite busy, though we found a table immediately. The barista that took our order answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. Our coffees were brought to us surprisingly quickly considering how busy they were.
I had a blueberry muffin and a zombie latte. The muffin was good though not exceptional. For my latte, I added pistachio. That was the dominant flavor with milk being the second strongest. This was exactly what the barista described. I was quite satisfied.

I went here again. I had the mint cold brew and the honey bacon biscuit. Both were incredibly tasty. Honey was literally dripping off the biscuit. Plenty of bacon as well. The coffee had a hint of mint flavoring. It was very tasty. I definitely recommend both.

Note to future guests that this location is not pet friendly.

I went with my puppy who was in a crate to socialize her because I read a Google review that said Ancora had a dog photo wall and was dog friendly, and it was listed as pet friendly in Fido.com . The patio seating wasn't open either but they said if it was, then pets can go there. Only service animals allowed inside the University location or otherwise there is a downtown location that allows pets inside.

Staff member gave us to-go coffee cups and I thought they would help us pour our drink but they just left. The mug was too big and spilled our drinks on the table and floor. We cleaned it up as best we could but I felt like they could have taken the drinks to the back and packaged it for us considering it was still full.
