The food is good, but They need to work on customer service. They have not answered the phone that last 10 times I have called. Online it says they are open. Drove there and sign said closed. Are they out of business?

The fried catfish and Mac and cheese are particularly delicious here! The take out service was fast and packaged well for the drive home. They are still open and going strong, so if Google says they are closed try giving them a call to double check. The owner, Kenny, said that Google had them shown as closed incorrectly a couple of times, so don't miss out on this delicious food because of Google's mistake!

The chicken dinner was outstanding. Comes with cornbread and 3 sides of choice.......we had the mac and cheese, green beans and mashed potatoes. All homemade and very good!

Anointed One Soul Food is a hidden gem on Madison's westside. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the meals I have had. Especially, the fried chicken and catfish; they are cooked golden brown and look almost too good to eat. I love how the sweet potatoes are cooked which are the brightest orange and are rightly sweetened. You have to order the greens, spaghetti and the macaroni and cheese. I consider myself a Southern Belle and Anointed One Soul Food makes me feel like home, I say this with Tennessee Pride.

Food was less than average. Swai Fish served as Catfish. Filets were cut in half and served as a full piece. I can't respect this as REAL Soul Cuisine.

This place is AMAZING! If you want a good, home cooked southern fried meal, this is the place to go! The green beans are delicious, the corn bread that is served with you meal melts in your mouth. I had the fried chicken...BEST. CHICKEN. EVER!!! I highly recommend!
