Amazing fish tacos today!!
What a fabulous madison spot. Great food (burgers, fries, fish sandwich, etc). The staff is very nice as well. Great patio/ outdoor seating. Badger tavern is one of Madison’s best taverns.

Consistently great food at decent prices. Friendly staff. Parking is a challenge cuz they're so popular, but it's worth it.

Solid neighborhood Tavern
We absolutely love this place! It’s so yummy and a great vibe. I like staying late and drinking but the wife gets on me for “being drunk” anyways I give the place 1 star for being the #1 place I love!
One of our select go to places. Find is always great and the staff is friendly. A lot of locals come here.
Badger Tavern checks all the boxes for your typical neighborhood bar, but I feel they offer a larger than typical variety of food options. We came here for the first time recently and enjoyed everything we ordered. My patty melt was hot and delicious, and this was also the case for my wife’s shrimp platter. We both also really enjoyed their cheese curds which tasted very fresh. You get a lot for your money here which is a big plus, and they offer fish fry 7 days a week!
Atmosphere is lively, staff were prompt and friendly, and despite its small appearance from the outside, there’s actually a good bit of seating inside. It was packed when we were there for an early Friday dinner, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. There is a small parking lot attached to the tavern, but be prepared to park on the street when they’re at full capacity. Overall an excellent place to get some tasty food and drinks!
Try the garlic cheese curds!
The Badger Tavern is a surprise find right at the top of the Seminole Highway offramp from the Beltline. The restaurant in in what was once a house and is right on the corner so it's visible from the intersection.
Every time I've been in there it has been crowded with locals. The service is good, fast, and friendly, and the food is good, so it's no surprise.
One time I went there for lunch and they were closed because the entire staff went to a Brewers game. I find that very awesome.
When I did finally eat there, I had a cheeseburger with fries. The fries were fresh, which is very important. The burger was correctly cooked. The meat had decent flavor. The cheese was good quality.
If you're heading west on the Beltline and you're hungry, take the Seminole Highway exit and check out the Badger Tavern.

Friday Fish Fry - 12:30pm. Busy lunch time.
Had battered cod, grilled shrimp & grilled shrimp. All were delicious. Potato salad, coleslaw and tarter sauce were great! Onion rings were perfect! Bloody Mary was perfect! They serve fish 7 days a week!! Definately worth the stop. We will be going back :-)
They have great burgers and a resonable amount of seating options. A must go in Madison.
The food was excellent. We have been coming here my entire life, and the burgers have always been the biggest reason why, so I was definitely happy when the burger I had was exactly as I remember it being when this place was Tony Frank's back in the day! The only problem was when our server started to walk away after taking my mother's order and then never asked me if I wanted anything. But I was able to stop her before she left, so it turned out ok.
Great for lunch and or a Beer 🍺. Cozy nice seating area to enjoy a table/Booth while visiting with friends and Family.
Neighborhood bar and grill. Our favorite!
