Overall, good vegan options. They often has brussel sprouts as a side and they are super delicious. Also recommend the eggplant.

We were passing through Madison and decided to stop here for lunch. The place seemed like was rated fairly good, so wanted to give it a try. Bad idea. I'm not sure what I ate, but it tasted really weird. I was super hungry,  so I forced myself to eat some, but then regretted it. The hummus tasted funny, like it was old or something, and I'm not even sure they use real meat on their menu. Did not taste like real meat, for sure. Just a heads up, if you love mediteranean food, this place isn't it.

Nice falafel pita. I loved the salad and pickle. Very friendly staff. Was actually ready earlier than expected for pick up.

Came here as a recommendation from a coworker. I 100 percent regret it. As someone that eats authentic Mediterranean food fairly often I can say with confidence that this is very bland and Americanized.

We love Banzo!! Not only is their restaurant experience always top notch, but we recently served Banzo as the main entree at our wedding and the experience could not have been better! Their catering services are a well-oiled machine, and the food they served to our guests was warm & fresh- we got countless compliments on how delicious everything was! Thanks for everything!

Tasty, thoughtfully-made Mediterranean food. Our pita sandwiches were very good; I also got a watermelon mint agua fresca which was a perfect pairing. You can do takeout, but they also have indoor and patio seating. I would definitely recommend this spot for a casual but super-solid meal.

Bland & pricey Mediterranean food with very less potion size. You have to pay for pita and hummus as a side! It's not complementary. That's a first. The hummus was dry and it was missing olive oil. Like who serves hummus without olive oil?! Their side dishes are a joke. I had a better Mediterranean food experience elsewhere. The chicken wasn't quite flavorful. I guess Banzo is not run by a Mediterranean person.

The food was bland and bad quality. The low rated comments are correct. Worst "middle eastern" food in Madison.

This is not Arabic food. Look up who the establishment and what they stand for. I can't support this buisness.

WOW! Stopped for lunch after grabbing a friend from the airport. The service is magnificent and the food is delicious! I love the unique side options, the fresh pitas, and a very spicy sauce. It’s a bit pricier than your standard counter service Mediterranean, but worth a try.

Love this place, best falafels in Madison.
Great atmosphere and deck seating. Simple menu, but everything is fresh and healthy and the staff is super. A great find!

This place is delicious. However, the portions were a little underwhelming for the price. We got the rice bowl, which was rice, falafel, salad and hummus. We realized after it had come to the table that it didn't include pita. And didn't look like a lot of food. The serving of rice was pretty underwhelming. We learned that they no longer offer the Platter, which was a little bit of everything, including pita. So we ended up ordering a side of pita & hummus. The hummus that came was huge. Too much actually for the amount of pita that came with it. But it was really good. I would definitely eat here again...the falafel is amazing and I wish I could have had 100 of them. I just probably wouldn't get the rice bowl next time. I'd probably do the 3 sides for $12 honestly and get pita & hummus, falafel and one of the vegetables. We had tried Banzo's food a few years ago on one of the Food+Music fests on the Capitol square. It used to be pretty good. We thought we would have the same experience again when we went there last month. We were craving for some good Mediterranean food. Madison seriously lacks even a good halal food truck. A serious business opportunity if you ask me especially with the students and the growing number of working professionals in the area. So, we ordered the shawarma bowls. Sorry to say we were thoroughly disappointed. The food was very bland. It seriously lacked flavor and aroma. The rice did not even have any color to it. Heck even the sauces were ordinary. And please don't get me started on the portion size. It was barely filing. I guess it helped in a way because the food was as uninteresting as it gets. The platter did not even have pita hummus. You have to order them separately. Also, I have never had such dry hummus. Looks like someone drained the life (read olive oil) out of it. The only saving grace were the falafels. They tasted the same as before. Not going there again.
P.S.: Before I forget, please don't order their roasted cauliflower whatever dish. Absolute rip-off.
