I've always had good experiences with the pastries here (the salted caramel brownies are especially good), but this was the first time I purchased a cake. $55 for the 6'' Signature Birthday Cake, and the cake was wet, not moist, around the filling. I took it out of the fridge 2.5 hours before serving and the recommendation was to do so 2-3 hours beforehand. I tried it again four hours out of the fridge and the rest of the cake that was not wet is noticeably dry now. I was really looking forward to having it to celebrate an anniversary because I heard good things about the cakes here, and maybe there were just a lot of orders around Valentine's Day so this was a one-off, but it was pretty disappointing.

Bloom is a must anytime we are in Madison. Every pastry, dessert, bread, etc that we’ve had is delicious. Special mentions: morning bun, cruffin, any croissant, cinnamon roll and focaccia are a few of our favorites! You can tell each person takes pride in what they do and care about the product they are creating. Amazing!

We LOVE bloom as our go-to bakery!! We used their catering menu for our wedding and all of the items were raved about!!! Fantastic service and all of the baked goods were delightful. I appreciate that their vegan / GF items are so delicious.
We go to Bloom often for sweet treats, and just used their catering to serve our wedding. Guests (and us) couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was. Their vegan and gluten free options are so good as well.
Lovely little bakery! They’ve got quite the daily selection of baked goods and glad that I was in town early as it opened as there was a line started before they even opened today! I grabbed a box full of goodies and they were delicious!
There is also a vegan/gluten free section in its own case.

We decided to skip the traditional tiered cake and instead go with six 8-inch cakes in three flavors from Bloom Bake Shop, and we could not be happier with that choice! We chose pistachio caramel, maple butterscotch pecan, and the vegan/gluten-free tuxedo cake, and every single one was a hit. Our guests raved about all of them, even our more skeptical guests were blown away by how delicious the vegan/gluten-free option was!
Bloom made the entire process so easy. Nicole was incredibly helpful and communicative while we were making our selections and coordinating details. The cakes looked beautiful, tasted amazing, and added such a fun, personal touch to our wedding. I can’t recommend Bloom Bake Shop enough!
