We were very happy with Blue Plate Catering and Gary for our wedding! Gary was incredibly helpful in helping us decide what we wanted and was very patient with me when I changed my mind a few times. We ended up going with a taco buffet which was something less traditional but still delicious and fun! We also had butlered appetizers which were delicious as well. We even had some saved for us at the head table since we were busy mingling the whole cocktail hour which was very thoughtful. Highly recommend Blue Plate Catering for a stress free, yummy dinner choice :)

Nothing like a Taco Thursday! At a training at the DOT building and Blue Plate provided the catering. Delicious and flavored filled chicken and all the toppings you can think of for a taco or pile of nachos. (My nephew also used Blue Plate catering for his wedding in July. Delicious pork and all the fixings.) Can’t wait to enjoy their food at another future event!

Blue Plate was exceptional during the prep process, and was really detail-oriented when it came to choosing silverware and food options that were within our budget. I know we got multiple compliments from our guests that the food was amazing, and the crew that was there during the wedding were so nice and helpful with making sure our dinner was lovely. Would 100% cater through them again!

Blue Plate Catering exceeded our expectations for our wedding. Gisel (our event lead) and Adrienne (our chef) helped make our dinner perfect. They arrived early to make sure everything was set up according to our vision. We had passed dishes during cocktail hour, and as the bride, they made sure they came to give me food right after the ceremony. The staff was around all that time making sure guests were eating. Once guests were seated, we chose a buffet, and the dismissal of tables went so smooth. There was plenty of food - people went up for seconds! The staff also checked on myself and my husband during dinner and brought me my seconds instead of having me get up again. All night, after dinner, we kept hearing from our guests how amazing the food was - especially the beef medallions, and the chicken tortellini pasta. The only downside was that there were no leftovers because everyone ate it all!! Hahaha. We HIGHLY recommend Blue Plate Catering for your next event!

Once we talked to David we stopped our search for food vendors because he made it so smooth. We loved the food at the tasting which was also fun and low pressure. Our guests loved the food including the chicken pasta and beef option. People were impressed the food was so hot for a wedding buffet. We had a venue with no kitchen or prep area and blue plate nailed it and even brought all their own stuff. They were really flexible about what we got through them vs other vendors which was really appreciated. Me and my husband made an error on our order and Blue Plate fixed it with our coordinator day of without needing to involve us and were super reasonable about us handling it after the fact. Loved them!

David and his staff were very good communicators throughout planning, from our tasting through calling about random ad hoc questions two weeks before the event. On the wedding day, David, Emily, Cecilia, and their whole team were top notch. The hors d'oeuvres were great (especially the Street Corn Tartlettes) and the team made sure two of each were waiting at our table when we sat down so we didn't miss out on them. The main courses were also great--the Braised Short Ribs were a big hit with our guests, and we loved the Tortellini and Chicken with Pesto. Lastly, it was comforting for us to know that Blue Plate was so familiar with our venue (The Tinsmith) and vice versa. Knowing that helped reassure us that everything was going to go smoothly, and it did. Would highly recommend them!

Everything was absolutely overcooked. Pasta was mush, chicken was extremely dry, rolls hard and dry. Nothing was seasoned properly - especially the mashed potatoes. It's hard to believe how much people pay for this subpar food.
