I've come here multiple times, tables are usually full, 50/50 of a snarky tender. I don't like playing around a lot of people, don't wanna bump into other or deal with my anxiety to do so. Tender decided with two open tables that it was appropriate to give a cynical laugh when I said it was too many people for me "too many people?!". I don't spend money to be mocked, and won't come back again.

One of the best pool halls I’ve been to and certainly THE best pool hall in the Madison area (and beyond). Amazing service. Amazing food. Excellent pool rates. What owner Larry Walsh has created in The Brass Ring is a true service to Madison and the sport of billiards for casual players to experienced players, and everyone in between. The menu is full of great appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. The bartending is impeccable — I go there to play pool during the day and Emily and company always welcome everyone with smiles. I’ve heard great things about trivia nights as well but I go there during the day for lunch and time on the table. You don’t get much better than The Brass Ring. Come for the relaxing daytime pool sessions and lunch (tables are more open during the day) or the vibrant night life for dinner, apps, drinks, and a little pool or shuffleboard with your friends. Great for date lunches and nights as well.

I was here on a very busy night for trivia. Generally good service for how busy it was. Very large space that can fit a lot of people. My wings were cold to the touch. My friend's teriyaki wings were hot. Curds were fine. Fries were fine. Good ranch. Not a place for food. Great place to hang.

The Onion rings were some of the best I've had in a long time. The staff did their best to keep up with the hungry and thirsty packer playoff game crowd. I could tell one of the bartenders was new and another was teaching him. they all did a good job of taking care of us and we're so glad we chose the brass ring for our outing! the cocktails were great! Love the pool hall atmosphere with real full size tables!

Declined us service even though their open light was on and doors were open. When asked why the open light was still on if they were closed, the impolite bartender claimed “it was beyond his pay grade”.

We stopped here for a beer and played a couple games of pool before a show at Sylvee. I had a Moscow mule and my fiancé a beer. They have a lot of pool tables, cool place!

Brass Ring has become one of my “third places” here in Madison. The weekly trivia is so much fun and brings my friends together. The food and beer options are also excellent, and it also has a great setup for playing pool and a great atmosphere for watching sports. I love this place!!

I love the Brass Ring. I used to go here almost every week for trivia when I lived nearby. Food is always great and they have a wide selection of beer on tap.
