The hostess Alex was very disrespectful to our table. She completely ruined our dinner with her terrible attitude and was incredibly rude towards us. She rolled her eyes, smirked at, and berated us when we asked simple questions. She was extremely condescending. The food was great as normal, however, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Great food and awesome selection of beers. I've been here multiple times and it's a go to spot for me to bring out of town people. A small selection of food but they're good at what they make! Still in the process of trying out all of the beers on tap but once I'm down with that, moving on to the larger list!

Super cute semi hole in the wall I visited around lunchtime on the weekend. Grabbed a cheeseboard and beverage. The sheep's cheese was very farmy. We had the 10 year age cheddar which was delicious /Hooks Cheese, The third cheese was one of the nutty cheeses. Overall everything was good. Service was good. There was confusion where we were first escorted to a second room that hadn't been used that day yet and then we were brought back to the main room. I both had the Pinot Gris it was dry and delicious There is a vegetarian sandwich I absolutely must try sometime

This is a first. I have never felt inclined to review a resturaunt before, but Brasserie V earned it. The food was great. We usually come in for burgers and fries. The menu varies and some of the entree options are definitely more sophisticated. The beer was delicious (there are what feel like dozens of unique options on tap) and halfway through our meal one of the staff could be seen and heard screaming at & abusing the kitchen workers while she waved a cigarette around. I mean...that's gotta be some kind of health code violation, right?? Everyone could overhear and everyone was in shock. It was terrible. Who does that??I'm nervous to go back.I like to enjoy my food.We came for dinner, not a show.

Our visits before COVID were excellent so we tried them again a couple of days ago. Unfortunately it was pretty disappointing this time around. On the positive side the drinks were good, and all the employees wore masks, but those were the only two positives. There was only one server for the 8 or so tables in our section so service was slow. It took half an hour for our order to be taken and it was over another hour until we got our food. The tables themselves are way too close together and it's difficult to get in/out. The food would have been delicious (the ingredients themselves were good) except that all three dishes had clearly been sitting & waiting to be picked up so they were room temp by the time we received them and the bread on the Croquet Monsieur was burnt and almost impossible to saw through. The only food that was hot was the side of fries we ordered which arrived separately. We didn't bother sending it back since we were so hungry. Two drinks and two meals plus tip was over $60 which is just too much for what ended up being a mediocre meal.

This is a cozy, relaxing restaurant/pub. The service is quite friendly and the food good. If you enjoy Belgian ales, the assortment is a treat. I had the Winter Smash Burger, which was cooked to my satisfaction and was flavorful. It was paired with a nice butternut squash soup (worth the price of admission). It would be easy to come here just to drink (several people did, while I was here), but do try the food.

Good food great beer list, prompt and polite service. A little on the priceier side, but absolutely worth it for every sandwich and side I've ever had here. Indoor lighting is a little gloomy but the decor helps warm things up. Servers wearing masks reassures me they're taking public health conditions seriously and doing their best to keep customers and staff both safe.

There are plenty of reviews concerning the very good food they serve here. However, if you're one of those beer geeks like me who want to sit down to some offerings that you just don't see you anywhere else, then this is the place to be. They have a beer menu that is seldom seen anywhere else. They have stuff here that you don't see on the retail side. There's nothing better than sitting at the bar and quaffing back some Belgian ales that you've seldom seen and some you've only heard about.

Husband and I got takeout after work and ordered the Mornay meatball appetizer and soup and salad for two. The good: The butternut squash jalapeño soup was very tasty! The bad: I had to wait 15 minutes past the planned pick-up time, the $13 meatball is just that - one, OK meatball, and the salad dressing was so sour that we could barely get through the salad.

Best beer selection in town. ? Food is AMAZING. There is usually a wait but it’s always worth it.

Great beer selection. Warm and inviting atmosphere and friendly service. The double smash burger and seafood chowder were incredibly delicious

I've been eating here since this place opened but won't be any longer because the kitchen has become extremely unreliable. Last night my guest and I were served ice cold burgers. Whether it's a lack of quality control or incompetence in the kitchen, I cannot recommend this once-reliable neighborhood restaurant, which is a shame because they continue to offer good beer. Two stars for the beer.

One of our favorite restaurants in Madison. Food is excellent, beer selection is phenomenal and service is great. Always try and come in when around Madison.

It is our first time dining at this restaurant. I ordered the leg confit which was a total disappointment, skinny leg with literally barely two tablespoon of vegetables!!! That is insanely miniature size, had to order another plate of fries and dessert since I was so hungry. Please next time at least have two duck leg of this size for one meal of $23 and some carbs,This isn’t fair to pay money and stay fully hungry.
