Let me start by saying that we have been coming here for years and always highly recommended it to anyone we know. However, the last time we ordered, the calamari appetizer (which is almost $17 and which we get every time!) was clearly prebreaded and frozen and didn't taste good at all. It was thrown away. Fast forward months ahead and we wanted to order again, but this time I called ahead and was assured the calamari was fresh and what they always used to serve. I went ahead and ordered....and was severely disappointed again. Not only was the calamari inedible, my spaghetti and "meatballs" was nothing like it used to be. The 2 tiny little meatballs that I got seemed to come out of the bags of frozen meatballs you can get at any grocery store. I was expecting the one very large and very delicious homemade one I used to get. The pasta was also clumped together, like a box of pasta that a 10 year old can make. I'm sorry, because I have always loved this place, but I think we'll find somewhere else. I understand that staffing is and has been an issue, but the quality as it is now is not even worth the price at all.

Plan ahead or make a reservation as it has been busy on both of my visits (Thursday evening and Saturday evening).I absolutely love this place. Food is absolutely top notch, as is the service. You're greeted at your table with some garlic bread and oil. Order a glass of wine while you peruse the menu. Their red sauce is made in house, and is incredible. Remember this as you look at the options on the menu. I had the sample on the last visit.which had spaghetti, a delicious meatball and probably the best lasagna I've had in my life. Had a taste of the alfredo sauce which was delicious as well. We will be back, and hopefully many times, as this is definitely our favorite Italian restaurant in Madison now!

We've been here several times since moving to the area and have enjoyed our experience. The service is usually good to very good, as is the food. They have a fairly complete menu that slants towards the Italian side of American Italian. We really enjoy the pizza. The atmosphere is definitely that of an older, well-used, restaurant with some 70's ish hints towards Italian influenced decor. They only have about a dozen tables, so there can easily be a wait during peaks times. Parking can also be a bit difficult, as the lot is pretty narrow. It's definitely on our rotation of restaurants that we enjoy.

I have tried every stuffed pizza the greater Madison area has to offer, and this is hands down the best. You wouldn't think to order the stuffed pizza here with all the other options, but it is worth it. What separates this stuffed pizza from all the rest is there is no grease. It is flavorful, light and fluffy, and dense, but you are not swimming in your meal. You can pick up a slice and hold it without it falling apart. It doesn't make you feel like crap like most greasy pizzas do. I ordered this twice in less than a weeks time. A new go-to and a must try.

Amazing food but no really no dine in on Tuesday? I understand giving staff a day off but Tuesday is so random. Seems a little arbitrary to me
Every dish we ordered was supet tasty. Homemade fresh marinara sauce was very good. The lemon flavored cake was perfect too, very juicy.

Food and wine were great. Waitstaff friendly and made this first-timer feel very welcome. Only downsides were older, more basic decor and smaller interior. This is a busy place, so while a bit more space would be desirable, might also take away from the cozier, family feel. Definitely returning!

Great food, average prices. Lacking in ambiance but the service is SO WONDERFUL, especially Stephanie, as is the food - it's a must visit!

Your pizza photos are not very appetizing. I tried to fix one. If you like it you can use it.

The spaghetti and meatballs with meat sauce was delicious! The pizza, while it had a great consistency, and the crust was very good, the pizza itself was a little flavorless. Perhaps an off night. One major positive they serve Coke products, though they are served in cans. Refills would be nice!
