We had camp cantina cater our wedding and it was phenomenal. It was a fabulous experience and everyone was raving about how great the food was. I highly recommend trying it out in the restaurant and/or for catering your next event!

They don’t have halal but we came to convocation and it was total mess.

Delicious food, fun atmosphere, great service. Our waiter Omar was very friendly and offered suggestions on dishes and beverages.
My Carne asada was very flavorful and the pineapple ginger margarita was unique and delicious. My daughter devoured her carnitas tacos and rice. My husband’s guajillo braised pork was scrumptious.
Great location right across from Camp Randall. Can’t wait to come back when it’s warm outside to enjoy their inviting patio area!

Love this place. Margaritas are great. So are the nachos. Service is friendly and they make sure to serve quickly if you’re headed to a game. The price is right too.

As expected from a fairly recently built house, it is clean and has a nice atmosphere. There is an outdoor patio, it has a slightly upscale feel, and a lot of attention was paid to the plating.
However, compared to the appearance, the taste is disappointing and the most important thing is that the meat lacks flavor. What was particularly disappointing about the burrito bowl I was looking forward to was the lack of seasoning and flavor that should be present in the beef. My wife also expressed that the texture of the rice was not very good. Both the restaurant concept and the taste are a bit odd. Dessert was delicious.

Let me begin by stating I am a big fan of Mexican. We eat Mexican in or out of the hoke 1-2 times per week. I like authentic Mexican food and Tex mex alike.

I was excited to try this place after it opened in the neighborhood. I went there for the first time today to order takeout. The service from the hostess was excellent - candid, kind, and provided a recommendation when asked. At her recommendation ordered three tacos - carnitas, al pastor, and campechano. The portions were generous. 3 tacos was enough to fill me way over the top. The carnitas was cooked perfectly, although all of the tacos lacked sufficient flavor/salt. I am hopeful this is a bit of an anomaly as today is a game day although there do appear to be several reviews with similar comments. I will certainly try this restaurant again and update the review.

Really good tacos (birria, carnitas, steak). Attentive service. Green salsa that actually has a kick.

If someone had told me that there was a truly authentic Mexican Cantina in downtown Madison Wisconsin, I’d have laughed at them, but here we are! This place is “the real deal”! The BEST food! The BEST drinks! The BEST service! And it’s directly across the street from the UW Fieldhouse/Camp Randall Stadium! The best of all worlds! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"I recently visited the Camp Bar for the first time, and overall, it was a good experience. The service was friendly, with both the hostess and our server being very welcoming. My friend and I decided to try the birria dishes. I opted for the birria ramen soup, while my friend had a quesadilla. This was my second time trying birria ramen (the first was in Las Vegas), and while I enjoyed it, I found the broth here to be a bit thick for my taste. I would have preferred it to be a bit more liquid, but that’s just a personal preference. The dessert was tasty ( churro cheesecake),and the drinks were okay. Overall, a nice spot, if you are around the area “
