Really cool aviation themed coffee spot with plenty of space, seating, outlets, and a huge menu. I was there during a nice music jam session too which was nice. Located in the heart of Madison. Really great berry smoothie! Highly recommend!

This place seems pretty cool, but unfortunately the Meetup group that I was meeting there ruined my entire experience. I spent at least five minutes, looking through a relatively small place for this group who said that they would have a sign out. The only sign was laying flat on the table where it couldn’t be read from more than 3 feet away.
I will come back for this event frequently if the meetup group is not there. It’s amazing how clueless meetup group leaders are about how it feels to try to approach a group of complete strangers. It’s bad enough that Wisconsin culture mistrusts outsiders like it’s the 1950s… those of us who don’t have a network locally already need to be welcomed in. This group gave me dirty looks for asking why the sign was laying flat, and then all turned away from me without saying hi or even greeting me. Not one person told me their name.
The discussion in this group on the app reminded people to tip while they’re there… it sounds like this group is a negative presence at Cargo.

I got the Mocha Atomic Freeze ($6.50!!!) and it tasted bland and chemical-ly, and the ice was not well blended. If you go here i suggest you stick to plain coffee, the specialty drinks are overpriced and if the freeze is anything to go by, below average quality.

The food and drink options are amazing, many of the staff could be friendlier especially thru the drive up. I side atmosphere is calm, cool and soft.
Cargo Coffee is great for remote work, studying, etc. Tons of space so you don't feel packed in tight. Good coffee and light food. There are spots with outlets if you need to work on a laptop, but not a ton of time. I haven't seen it too busy to not be able to find one. They also have live music which is great.

I'm hanging at Cargo Coffee right now and loved the food and latte so much I wanted to write a review immediately!
I had the ham & swiss sandwich on a Madison Sourdough croissant and it was AMAZING. Warm, but not too hot, delicious and flaky and so perfect. I also ordered a hot latte with half hazelnut/half coconut syrup (they have a long list of available syrup flavors!) and oat milk. It smells divine and tastes just as good! Very smooth and creamy.
I really like the atmosphere here; the only thing is that some areas seem a little dark. I prefer sitting by a window, but I'm sure others prefer those darker corners, so really, there's something for everyone! I live on the West side but will be making more trips here to visit. :)

A study place at last! This place has seating for days, including couches, high table tops with stools, and the adorable upper level with tables and chairs. There's also a parking lot included, so getting here wasn't a hassle :)
