Just went through the drive-thru, but the barista was so kind! Coffee was great, and the raspberry scone was tasty, too! I look forward to coming back another time when we can sit inside. Looks super neat!

I absolutely love the cargo on East Washington Ave so I was excited to try here out. I go there once a week at least. I decided to pop in for a quick bite with my friend. The ambiance when you walk in is wonderful! We walked in and waited in line for about 5 minutes as this lady asked about 5 different types of drinks the gentleman taking the order was very patient with her! As we were waiting in line I was hoping for something to eat. The gentleman at the counter was very sweet and took our order, but told us the kitchen closed at 4:15, meanwhile it was 4:08. He felt bad and said he'd make the order, which was super kind of him. Everyone else in the kitchen was teasing him and making (purposefully loud) rude comments that we could entirely hear and only made me question the time and why the kitchen was closed early more. I understand they were in the process of closing the kitchen, but it was not the time they said and had everyone else not butted into the conversation we would have gone across the street for food. The rest of the staff needs a brush up on proper customer service. They just needed to not say anything or just tell us sorry we closed the kitchen early. We were semi worried the others might spit in our food, but the same gentleman who took our order they forced to make the food because they didn't want to help clean up. We left the establishment 20 minutes before they even closed with food in our hands. However, the gentleman who took our order was very kind. Your level of service does not go unnoticed! Give that guy a raise/promotion!

The coffee here is the BOMB!! Fresh roasted and so freaking good! If you want to get quality coffee by the pound for a deal (make that steal!) this is the place to go. Whole bean, but they will grind it fresh for you. My husband takes this by the pound to his office as everyone there has deemed this the best coffee. Fabulous espresso for our home machine too. Seriously - you have to try the coffee from here - sooooo good! There are pastries, some are GF, some light sandwiches, egg sandwiches or a breakfast burrito too.

Cargo is my favorite coffee spot in Madison. This is the OG location but they also have a newer location on East Wash.The coffee is always on point and they have an assortment of breakfast pastries and other food options too.The outside can look deceiving as it is a small, standalone coffee spot and most will use the drive through for convenience (fast service by the way). However, when you step inside you are immersed in some really neat decor that focuses on travel - think airplanes, suitcases that double as tables, big burlap bags of coffee and tons of world maps. It's super cool and cozy, a great spot to hang with friends or get some work done.
