I’ve been coming here for many years. I’m a vegetarian and it’s my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Madison area. Side note everyone who I’ve brought here (non-vegetarians) have also always enjoyed their food! The staff is always exceptional.

First time eating out since reopening of restaurants in Madison. It was a.goos experience. Tables spaced out. Hand sanitizer station near the entrance. Server wore a mask. Food was tasty. It felt great to get out and feel more normal again.

It seems to me there is a significant management/staffing issue. We visited for the first time in late January 2020 on a Friday night and we enjoyed our food and drinks. Service was good and prompt. We were excited to have found a local gem and planned to return.
Was in town for a University of Wisconsin tour and after several hours of walking in the cold we were quite hungry. To be honest we sort of stumbled onto this place which is on the second floor on State. Is was very good with a friendly wait staff. I had the pozole soup which was great and my daughter had a sandwich that she really enjoyed. The chips are homemade and salsa is great!

I’ve been there a few times and it’s a bit pricy, but overall the food is great! I didn’t like that they charge you for every small salsa cup you order. I guess I’m used to Mexican restaurants just having them on hand.
