Cento has a very classy atmosphere. Open kitchen, well-trained servers. The pasta dishes were all delicious. I especially liked the butternut squash gnocchi. The one disappointment- the cheesecake was burnt on top and very dry.

We LOVE this place! The food never disappoints, the brunch is so incredible (do the boozy brunch if you can!) Our server Jack was super helpful and attentive. Will definitely be coming back!

I believe our server was Regan and could not have had a better meal or service. I ordered the Creste di Gallo and my wife had the Tagliatelle. Great flavors and moderate portions, so not to feel too full for dessert. The evening was completed with a serving of Tiramisu. Wonderful decor, great service, great food. Cento is definitely a must visit in the Madison area.

11/17: Updating to 5 stars. Returned on 11/15 for another brunch and the experience was night and day. We even had the same server. I truly appreciate the heartfelt communication from the manager and I'm thrilled everything was delicious and timely this visit.

10/26: Sorry for the length. I have been going to Cento (and loving it) for years. It's become a fun routine to go there for the boozy brunch special before a matinee at the Overture. But the past few times have been steadily getting more and more disappointing. Has there been a management change??? Most recently, we weren't approached by our server for 5-10 minutes after being seated and then it took another 20 minutes for our cocktails and my husbands latte (the bar regularly seems backed up so this wasn't wild but we also didn't see our server at all for most of this time). We didn't get a crumb to eat for, if I remember right, almost an hour. Once the food arrived, my dish seemed like it had actually been sitting under the warming lights for about 10 minutes. The sauce had started congealing and it was luke warm. I've had that dish several times before (the Bucatini alla Carbonara) and know how delicious it can be. I was pretty hungry at that point so I scarfed it down anyway and didn't complain. My husband's breakfast pizza had a poached egg with a fully cooked/hard yolk. The cannolis are good but I've had servers offer for us to get those first in the past (to kind of replace the pastries that used to be included with the boozy brunch), and this server never brought it up. I even mentioned wanting the cannolis when we were ordering our cocktails and kind of assumed she would get the hint but alas. It might have just been a server issue - she seemed oddly nervous? Like would mess up what she wanted to say and then seem really embarrassed by it in a way that we had to reassure her it wasn't a big deal. We were really kind and friendly to her, trying to help her be less nervous. Not sure if she was new or just having an off day, but the pacing of the experience was so off. We've had some similar (but fewer at a time) issues there the past few times. It makes me hesitant to continue going, even though I love the food and the location is perfect.

Perfect environment but overall ordinary (not too surprised) food compared to my higher expectation.

It isn't that the food is bad. it's that the food is not worth the high prices they're gonna charge you. imagine paying 20$ for a wendy's burger. samething.

Cento is the go-to for elevated, classy, quality pasta in Madison 🍝 🥂 I love the creste di gallo—tomatoes and spinach bursting with flavor balanced with crumbles of spicy sausage create a light, savory sauce. The pasta is always cooked to the perfect bite. Their butcher board is to die for—the seasonal mixes of sweet and savory bites are masterfully arranged. Cocktails are complex, creative, and thoughtful. To top it off, the servers are knowledgeable, professional, and so kind. I will always come here to celebrate a special occasion—I especially adore the vibes in the winter ✨❄️

Had dinner with two other couples last evening ahead of a Broadway show. The food was good, service okay, but the noise level was excessive. We had to shout to have a conversation in our booth. Overall, it was a negative experience for us.
