Cowboy Jack's Madison

Food was mediocre all around, and the service was so-so. The cornbread appetizer had promise, but one of the orders came out cold. Entrees were likewise mixed in both quality and temperature. Our server was nice, but very new - she didn't know what types of soda or beer were on tap. The restaurant could help their servers and patrons a lot by providing a tap list.

Sat at the bar since there was no hostess to seat us, only 2 other families in the whole restaurant just before 1pm. Bartender didn't mention any specials and constantly kept walking away as we ordered. Food was good but the service was terrible.

The food was great, the bar tender was friendly and wonderful. The Hostess was suppose to come back with a release form to rid the bull but instead she left for the night. We never got to rid the bull like we wanted too.

One of the best quesadillas I've ever had..however their service/waitress was horrible. We had to find our own silverware (took it from another unused table), had to go to the bar for our drinks, had to hunt down our waitress for our bill (and had to “remind” her what we ordered). I'll always love their outdoor patio.... but i'll think twice before going again.

The restaurant & patio are very nice, I liked the remodel inside.

I did quite a bit of the trim work in this place before it opened in Wisconsin. I'm not bragging. Lol, because the service was sub par. We had a 126$ tab and every time we needed something we had to go get our server. If your hungry, I do not recommend this joint. 100

My friend had an event here to raise money for her treatments because she has breast cancer, the bartenders are really unprofessional I had issues with them the whole night. They were complaining about the “Mexican Music” and they just seemed irritated every time I went to get drinks. Not friendly at all. I know what it's like to be in the business of customer service I am a General Manager myself and if my employees were treating my paying customers in such a manner, there would definitely be some Discipline for such actions. If it was anyone else they probably wouldn't of left a tip, but me being the person I am, I left a $2 - $5 dollar tip every round I bought and I bought quite a few rounds for myself and my friends. Hell if the owners want I could definitely give a speech on what customer service is and how vital it is to the company and sales! I'm just saying I have been in this business a long time and I know for sure that the customer is not always right! But how the staff was treating me and my friends last night was very disrespectful, disappointing and unprofessional! I asked for a certain shot and she said she ran out when I seen a full bottle right next the empty one. She just didn't want to serve us for some reason! I myself and the 20 friends that came with me will not be visiting this establishment again and if it wasn't for the event for my friend that was going on we would of all left because of the treatment we received! On another note the DJ was great and so was the security staff!

This place is a disgrace. 2 to 3 years ago this was the place to go. It still has the best outdoor venue in all of Madison area. However, management has let it go to ruins. There are weeds growing all over in their cute little outdoor venues. My husband and I gave it a second try in 2 week. Both times disappointed and wondering why owners don't care. The potential is great. Why no signs to tell you that you can't enter outdoor bar from street or back parking lots? It's as if you gave up on this place. It wasn't cheap and it wasn't good food. Why???????

Food was really good. We went midday during the week. They have indoor and tons of outdoor shaded seating. Service was good. It was very reasonably priced. Will come back.

Super fun place! Make sure to bring light clothing, because it gets really hot if you go to dance overthere. They need to turn on the AC at 🌙.

Good spot to watch games or hang out on the patio. The club sandwich is huge and pretty good too. Recommend
