We were very disappointed with our meal today. They have a new menu, so we were not aware of the changes to the sides and prices. When they brought the meal, I received a loaded bake potato. I said I did not order a loaded potato and received a snarl of an answer from our snarky waitress of...Well it's on the menu as loaded. When you order two sides, bake potatoes come as loaded. I would find out later that I would be charged an extra three dollars for that potato that I sent back. When my plain potato came back it was cold in the middle. I was afraid to ask for a warmup and just let it go. The biscuits were very well done almost burned. I had ordered a steak medium rare, and I got a thin strip of meat that was cooked very well and very dry. When they are making all the changes this restaurant, I think they should work on the basic food and service.

We make it a point to stop at Cracker Barrel as we travel. So, naturally, when we got to Madison, we stopped. What a disappointment! We were quickly seated, but then it was almost 20 minutes before our drinks arrived. Then, as my wife attempted to order, she was told item after item wasn’t available. She settled for a side order and nibbling on my meal. My meal was okay with the exception of the hockey pucks that passed for cornbread. The only saving grace for my wife was she found some Christmas gifts for friends in the shop.

I love cracker barrel. I met their dishwasher Charlie on the bus the other day. Guy couldn't have been more friendly. Makes me want to stop in and buy something!! Every time I've been here it's always been amazing. Never had a bad meal, bad service, nor have i ever left unhappy or hungry. I love their little shop, too. Cool place. Well done cracker barrel. Im impressed..

The restaurant is clean and presentable. The restrooms could use some cleaning. The food was okay, certainly not a five star rating. They going waitress was kind of rude. Never cane back to see if we needed anything, at least until she delivered the check.

After waiting 50 minutes for our food, the order came minus the fries. What was delivered looked pretty unappetizing. Too bad that this is what Cracker Barrel has become as it used to be an ok place to eat while traveling. Will not be going back to this one.

Got seated, ordered, then was told theres gonna be a 45 min wait for our food because they were short a cook. Fast forward 1 hour 15 min later, still no food. No idea when its gonna be ready all the while more and more people are getting seated, soon it sounds like a school cafeteria because zero food is coming out of the kitchen... won't be returning to this location ever again

Normally, Cracker Barrel is holy grail!! However, today was not good. I ordered the southern fried chicken (first time) and the cinnamon rolls. Both items tasted old. The chicken was very dark on the inside. The skin had a funny taste (similar to old grease.) The cinnamon rolls were slightly either overcooked or old. It did not seem fresh. Pretty disappointed in the meal unfortunately.

This place is showing its age. Time for an upgrade to the restaurant and especially the restrooms they are dirty and worn out. The sink (mens) area is filthy. Old molding caulk and its dirty.
Ordered a breakfast with 3 eggs and I received 1 egg cooked and a second egg broken. How could you even serve that? The server did go and order two more eggs to correct the situation. The biscuits were hard like hockey pucks.
The servers always disappeared into the kitchen. Had to ask for refills on drinks. Give the server some help. They even had to bus the dirty tables. What’s wrong with helping them out? Shame on the management and owners of this restaurant.
When we entered the restaurant to be seated we waited for a server to come seat us. The host was too busy on her phone to seat us. She was always on her phone.
We have tried Rockford, Janesville, and nowMadison. Cracker Barrel has lost the formula to good food, clean restaurants, and good service. Such a shame, we always counted on your restaurants.

Our server was great, we took advantage of the $5 take out meal offer and left with 2 meals for the next day.
We both had breakfast after a long travel day. It was hot and tasty as usual.

I had the country boy breakfast- steak tips, scrambled eggs, biscuits n' gravy etc. The wait for food was crazy...the meat came out to me truly cold and there were a total of maybe 5 small bites of meat. For the price....NOT WIRTH THE WAIT😤 Cora, our waitress however was outstanding😊
