I was pleasantly surprised when I received the pumpkin spiced latte with oat milk I ordered. Honestly, so happy to see this cute latte art before applying a lid.
The latte itself was delicious. This was the first of three coffee shops I visited over my stay in Madison. I have been thinking about this coffee ever since my visit, it was so good. Definitely a top favorite in the area!

Stopped in for a cappuccino and blueberry muffin. Coffee was strong but smooth, muffin soft and not too sweet. Chill music in the background, not too loud. Staff was relaxed and friendly. Spot was tidy, bathroom fine. Solid morning stop.

I enjoyed the cute seating and outdoor area of Crescendo when I went a few days ago, but unfortunately I did not feel welcomed by the employees. After a long wait, I asked an employee if my sandwich was ready yet, and she barely acknowledged me with a nod, then pointed to a sandwich that was sitting on the counter. I thought they would announced food orders by name, but I guess not. And to top it off, the sandwich was still cold in the middle. Luckily, my friend and I were able to enjoy the rest of what Hilldale mall offers. Adorable coffee shop and decent coffee, but I don’t plan on returning.

Not the most friendly bunch and extremely overpriced. The matcha is my favorite in Madison though!
Love their blueberry matcha so much, it’s a shame that the barista who took my order the last time named Dara was so incredibly rude and condescending to me. I kindly asked about the hilldale employee discount and she asked where I worked and when I told her, she said “well I don’t get a discount there so you won’t be a getting a discount here.” A simple no would have sufficed.

Wow. Ordered avocado toast. Got mushed avo on bread. Even my kid said she could make better. Not even an attempt to toast or to present something worthy of the cost. Ate it b/c we were hungry and long line up. Eat-in folks all had to-go containers. What a waste.
